THREE | "Karen Page."

Broad daylight, and Laurie is standing in one of Timothy's favourite places: Central Park. The park that was the death of him and the Castle family. Despite the massacre that happened here, the park is filled with children, couples, kids her age, people who are generally just having a nice day out. Just like Timothy, Lisa, Frank Jr, Maria, Frank, and Laurie were trying to do before everything went to shit. Laurie took a deep breath as she remembers Timothy's last words to her before he rode the carousel.

Come on, Laurie, come with us!

Her heart broke again.

"Laurie? Laurie Priest?" A voice from behind has her startled.

She's being pulled away from that memory, but is suddenly faced with a woman wearing a black dress

She's being pulled away from that memory, but is suddenly faced with a woman wearing a black dress. She is slim, blond, a blue eyed stranger that knows her name. Laurie becomes defensive, she takes a step back. "Who are you?" She asks as a precaution, clutching her purse close, getting ready to whip out the weapon if need be.

The woman notices Laurie's unease, her face softens. "Don't worry. I'm not here to hurt you... I just have some questions about your former guardian, Frank Castle?"

Laurie is shocked. Her mouth almost falls open, and her eyes are wide. Quickly, she reacts, turning fully to face the woman and exchanges an intimidating glare as she prowls toward her. "I said, who are you?"

The woman swallows and clears her throat, not being scared easy. "Karen Page." She nods. "I work for Nelson and Murdock, i-it's a law firm."

Laurie suddenly recognizes the name, releasing the tension she steps back. "Page, Nelson, and Murdock. You guys put away Fisk- uh, Kingpin, right?" Karen nods vigorously, Laurie's expression is hardened. "I can't help you." She begins to walk away.

She hears Karen follow after her, but she doesn't stop, she just keeps going. "Laurie, I can't imagine what you've been through-"

"So, why is it your business?!" Laurie snaps at Karen.

"Frank Castle is my business. He murdered a slew of people, including our client. I was wondering if you knew-"

"What? You think-?" Laurie sarcastically chuckles. "You think, I know anything about him?" Laurie stops and turns to face Karen. "Look, a couple days ago, he was a ghost to me, the apparition of a man I knew. Suddenly, he's The Punisher, and I'm just as shocked as anyone else at this point." Laurie shakes her head, she pauses as she looks Karen up and down. "I don't know your intentions." Then she looks her in the eyes. "I don't know who you are. And I mean it when I say I can't help you."
