Prologue

"Are you ready?"

My cornerman asked as I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting to the blinding lights that flashed before me.

"You got this, Luxe." He gave me a quick tap on the shoulder before urging me to walk straight into the boxing ring. "I'm just behind your back."

"You never expected to see our newest, Unbeatable Assassin, Insurgent Model, and Luxurious Goddess in a Wrestle Mania ring, but that's what they say about never say never!"

"She also said in her latest interview that she doesn't give a damn about her bad reputation. What a total badass!"

The smell of rust and blood filled my nose as I entered the ring with my head held up high and stoic expression, hiding my excitement and bloodlust.

I scanned the wild crowd as I was wrapping kumpurs around my hands to protect them against injuries.

"This year is her first appearance in the Underground City, yet she is already making notable names by effortlessly defeating all her opponents in the matches she joined."

I almost laughed after hearing the commentators' praises. So this is what they call favoritism.

Despite my opposition, there is nothing I can do about it as what they said was hundred percent accurate.

"She's known to be fearless and a genius. Introducing, the most beautiful woman here in the UC, and also the indomitable assassin, Luxeley!"

You can't even hear yourself talking because of the deafening noise the crowd is making. It was as if they were lions, roaring inside the arena.

"Indomitable assassin, huh? Low-key copying El Indomable Mafia." I heard my opponent mumbling.

When she saw me looking at her, she rolled her eyes. I heard she was the defending champion.

"I'll show them how weak and pathetic you are."

She was inaudible since she had already worn her mouthguard. She looked like she was grumbling like a grumpy old woman.

What a nincompoop.

She was early to arrive since she was called first. Wearing a disheveled dark green sleeveless shirt and a bright yellow bull cap, she looked like a total cuckoo.

Her cornerman gave me a dirty look. He even bit his pierced lips while looking straight into my eyes with lust evident in his face. Disgusting piece of shit.

Every July of the fourth year, the Battle of the Greatest is celebrated by underground citizens.

Assassins, Gangsters, and Mafiosi gather here in the Underground City to witness and participate in matches, where the winners are rewarded with titles and prizes.

The Battle of the Greatest was created right after the Underground City was built by aspiring gangs and mafias in the 18th century.

In the past four years, El Indomable was declared the most powerful and invincible mafia. We beat the notorious and feared mafias in Italy and America.
