*Serena's POV
I sigh, as I look into the glowing sky. The sun seems to be submerging into the clouds. My friend Calem and I are sitting on a hill near the outskirts of Lumiose city. It is truly a beautiful scene.
I suddenly decide to break the silence.
"Hey Calem?" I ask with my eyes looking into his.
Calem is my best friend here in Lumiose City. Also, my best friend in general. We have been friends ever since we were eight years old. Ever since the day we met, we tell each other more and more, as we become closer and closer friends.
"Yes, Serena?" Calem asks with a curious, yet worried tone.
"I'm really sad that summer is coming to an end," I say to my friend.
"I get what you mean," responds Calem.
Calem and I are really good friends, so I decide to change the subject, as I trust him with almost anything.
"Calem.. When am I.." I say hesitantly.
"What is it Serena? You know I won't judge you for anything you say or do," Calem quickly says. Man, Calem sure is great.
"Well.. you know how Kalos is the region of love?" I nervously ask my best friend.
"Yeah of course, love is especially known to be celebrated here in Lumiose City. It is well known that during the night time, it is romantic to visit the Prism Tower right here in Lumiose city!" he happily exclaims.
"Ok cool. So.. do you think I will ever find that love?" I nervously say, while fidgeting with my long, and honey blonde hair.
Calem takes a few seconds to think to himself. I start getting worried.
Suddenly, he says, "I don't see why you would not be able to find someone to share that special moment at the Prism Tower with," he says with a glowing smile on his face.
"Thanks Calem, that helps a lot," I say with a wide smile on my face.
We then again enjoy the moment at the hill, as the sun is almost done setting.
A few minutes later, the sun is completely out of sight.
"We should head back. I'll drive us home," Calem says.
Me and Calem are going to be juniors at Lumiose High School, and we both have our driver's license, which is amazing, because now I don't have to ask for rides from my mother all the time.
"Yeah, you're right. Let's go," I respond.
Calem and I then arrive at the gate of my house.
After our goodbyes, I walk by my mother's Rhyhorn while making my way towards my home. My mom used to be one of the most famous Rhyhorn racers in all of the Kalos region. She wants me to be just like she was, but I'm afraid to tell her that I want to be a Pokemon Performer.
I proceed to open the door with the spare key that my mother gave me once I turned ten. She gave me the key when I was ten because since I could get my own Pokemon at the age of ten, she then trusted me to leave the house by myself.
"Mom, I'm home!" I scream up to her.
"Serena, I'm in the kitchen making dinner, you don't have to scream that loud honey," my mother says in a passive tone.
"I'm sorry mom, oh, and thanks for making dinner, what are we having?" I ask politely. My mom teaches me to be polite to everyone, even when I may not specifically like that person.
"We are going to be having Sudowoodo salad tonight! How was going to the hill with Calem?" she asks with a glimmering smile.
My mother and Calem's family are also very good friends, so my mother is really fond of Calem.
"It was okay, it was a beautiful sunset though," I say while thinking back to my conversation with Calem.
"That's nice sweetie, get some sleep tonight, as you need to get your body used to your new sleep schedule coming in three days," my mom, named Grace, says with a wink.
"Yeah, yeah," I say with an eye roll.
"Fennekin!"
I look over my shoulder as I see my the first Pokemon I had received from Professor Sycamore, Fennekin, appear out of nowhere.
"Fen, Fen," My Fennekin says.
"Oh I see, you're excited for dinner, aren't you Fennekin?" I say while petting Fennekin's yellow furred head.
After dinner, I make sure to thank my mom for the great Sudowoodo salad she had prepared for us.
After dinner and watching some PokeTrivia on TV, I head upstairs to my bedroom.
I then begin to think to myself while lying in my cozy bed.
"I'm super excited to see my friends again, along with being able to learn about some new ways to dress my Pokemon up for a Pokemon Showcase. But will I find the boy who destiny has set up for me to find one day?" I think to myself with a frown on my face.
I will find that boy someday...
I am now falling asleep in my thoughts.
