Thank you to evemalik1994 for helping me design my front cover!

By the way, I have used the poem J.K.Rowling used in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone for the sorting ceremony, so full credit to her.

Part 2

Neville, Luna, Hermione and Draco walked through the large wooden doors that opened up to Hogwarts. Looking around, their eyes sparkled with awe and their mouths hung open in surprise. Last time they had been there, the whole school was rubble and fire, now it was a master piece.

New candles hung in the air, flickering brighter than ever before. The enchanted sky was starrier than ever and the walls shone like gold in a vault at Gringotts. The paintings were restored and there were new ones, one for every person who died in the Battle of Hogwarts. As the four pupils walked down the newly decorated hall, the paintings smiled and waved to them. Some even gave a thumbs up and congratulated them for surviving.

As they turned the corner to go into the great hall, Hermione stopped in her tracks and stared at a painting by the door, the painting stared back. ‘Fred?’ Hermione whispered, still looking at the bright ginger hair and the solemn look of despair on his face. She stepped closer to the painting and reached out to touch it. Just then, as a tear rolled down her face, Professor Slughorn stepped through the doors.

‘Ahhh there you four are! Come on, hurry up! The speech is about to start, don’t want to miss Professor McGonagall’s first speech now, do we?’ he pushed them gently through the doors and they walked to their seats.

Once they had sat down, the pupils turned to look at the front of the hall. There, standing awkwardly, was Professor McGonagall. She coughed and begun; ‘Hello and welcome to a new year of Hogwarts. As you should all know, I am the new headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

‘Last year this school suffered a great loss of students, teachers and respect. Over the summer, we have been rebuilding this school. We have eliminated all chances of anyone getting in or out of the school except for the gates. The school has, yet again, had all the enchantments put up around the school like it has had every year. Hogwarts is back to normal and I expect you to behave like you did last year.’

Professor McGonagall stopped and the crowd applauded her. Still standing there awkwardly, she waited for the hall to calm down.

‘Could I please have my new head students go and get the first years please? They are just outside.’ She asked, her eyes flickering from the green and silver Slytherin table to the red and gold Gryffindor table.

Hermione whispered good bye to her friends, as did Draco. Silently, they both walked to the door.

Draco got there first and held the door open for Hermione. As she walked through he followed behind.

‘First years, you’re ready to be sorted into your colleges now. Can you follow me please?’ Hermione spoke, slightly louder than the normal speaking level. ‘How have your mates taken the news of you being head boy?’ she spoke, directly to Draco this time. As she spoke she faced him and looked into his shining blue eyes and for the first time, realised just how perfect he looked.

His eyes glimmered like the night sky and his cheek bones didn’t stick out too far. His lips curved into the perfect smile when looking at her, but rested comfortably in a sexy scowl the rest of the time. When he looked down, he raised his eyebrows and his forehead crinkled up, making him look even more attractive than before. His head was the perfect shape and he was just perfect.
