the perfect love story

first day nerves

"beep, beep, beep" my alarm goes, i roll over trying to ignore it, but the sound burns into my brain. my soft, warm blankets hug me, as i reach for my phone the cold air touches my arm ad feels like it freezing off. i press the home button to turn on my phone, i see a message from my best friend, i open my phone up my snap chat open with a picture of me i forgot to send the night before, whoops. i delete the photo and open the snap chat from Sofia  my best friend. i open it to her beautiful face as she wake up. i send her one back im me all nice and warm in my blankets. as we exchange photos, i sit up looking at my brightly colored room with the sun light gleaming through the open curtains. i grab my glasses off my bedside table and remove the blankets from my body.   i take my hair out of the lose bun and move my legs to the edge of the bed, i lift my body off the bed and stretch and take my first morning steps, my phone buzzes from messages from different friends. i walk to the bathroom ad get ready to put my make up on. primer, then foundation, the concealer, then powder, then mascara not to much for a day of school. mum walks past and says "hi" in hope that i was ready for school. i walk back into my room, while grabbing my uniform from the clothes horse in the hall way. i get changed in my room hearing my brother walk up on the other side of the hallway. not really waking up just yet.

it takes me around 45 minutes for me  to finally get ready in my blue dress, new black shoes, my hair brushed fluffy and bouncy, bag on on my back and a box of books. mum calls my brother and i out side for some pictures, they turn out well. i hop in the car with my mum and dad and open the garage while waving at my dog like he knows whats happening. as we drive into school my stomach starts to get butterflies and nerves start to come. i get out the car and see one of my best friends, we called her peanut but her real name was Millie but she didn't really like her name. mum gets out the car and hugs me goodbye and peanut and i walk down the hill of our school together. we both look forward and see all the new kids that are coming this year "see any cute ones?" she says. "i see a possible one" i say trying to point out with out being obvious. "oh dam April can i have your eyes, "sure" i say pushing up my glasses, we both laugh at each other. we walk down to where a new lockers were and find out that we were two lockers away from each other. we both put everything away and watch everyone walk in as we sort out our books. the new guy walks down with his dad, looking scared. he was just taller than me, with light brown hair and the normal school uniform. he walk closer to me ad peanut we both look at each other. he reaches for the locker in between us. "oh dang i need scissors" he says next to me. "oh here" i pass him some scissors i had in front of me. "I'm April and that's peanut" i point towards her "my real name is Millie but i go by peanut because i hate my real name" she says smiling. i hear a loud scream behind me "APRIL!!!!" the scream says i turn around and scream back "SOFIA !!!!!" i scream and hug her like i haven't seen her in so long but in reality i saw her like 2 days ago.
