Hey everyone! Thought I'd try writing a story a go. Please feel free to give me feedback! Hope you enjoy :)
- Chapter 1-
I navigated myself through the new and unknown streets for about twenty minutes now. I was beginning to feel frustrated, as I took I'm the town's streets consisting of apartments, houses, stores, and cars parked along the streets. After another ten minutes I groaned, why did I agree to go grocery shopping again? For thing, I have a terrible sense of direction and we had just moved to the city, only a day ago.
I really wanted to just use a GPS to get out of this mess of misturns, but I had forgotten my cell phone bad in my new bedroom. Opps. Lady Luck must be on my side today, because Fred Myer appeared to my right. YES!
Walking up and down the aisles I collected various items. Muaha my favorite aisle! I stared at the rows of candy with greedy eyes.
My precious.
Come to mamma my babies!
HEHEHHE. I deliberately scanned the rows of candy deciding what candies I wanted. Yes, I did giggle, "heheh" aloud. What can I say? I love candy and candy has this affect on me.
Fortunately, no one was around to witness the slightly loony affects candy has on me. Actually, no one has, expect for my parents. I still remember that night.
* flashback*
"Hey honey" my mom's sweet voice called up to my room. Oh no! She can't see this!
I scrambled to through away all the evidence, I could hear her making her way up the stairs to my room.
Quick! Say something, "Ummm yes mi madre?" Phew. That should keep her at bay. I grimmer to myself, thinking I had just avoided an unpleasant scene.
Without warning my door swung open, my eyes widen with surprise.
"MOM!"
"Genevieve! What's going on?!"
"It's not what it looks like mom!" I helpless tried to defend myself.
"Honey, I think you need to see someone. This isn't healthy and I want you to stay around for a long long time. Please let me help you." My mom' slight colored brown eyes softened at the scene before her.
"I know mom, I'm working on it. Okay. Please, I can quit any time I want. I'm still the same Genevieve Elizabella Reynolds, you gave life to and see right now." My mom ran over to me a hugged me, simultaneously she took away the bag of sou patches in my hand. Noooo, my sour patches, I wasn't done with them.
*flashback over*
Yup, that was the night my mom discovered how I yearned for candy, at least once a week. She entered my room to see me rolling around on my bed full of candy wrappers and unopened candies.
After a serious fifteen minute debates I grappled Starbursts, Sour patches the watermelon kind, Mambas, and Skittles. This should suffice, for now.
I liked to do the self check, it was fun! I also always chose to do it in Spanish. I thought it was more fun that way. Sometimes I'd get odd looks, I swear the volume of this machine increases when one chooses the Spanish option. I'm not embarrassed though, I still find it entertaining.
I drove up to my new house, it was a nice house, very spacious and simple. It had a garage and a path leading to the front door. As you can tell, I'm not great at describing, but you get the basics.
I spent the rest of my day unpacking and helping my set up and organize the rest of the house. I decided to take a walk, my mom mentioned there was a park a ten minute walk from here.
