2 DAYS LATER, Rosemont Cafe
ARIA P.O.V.
Where is he? We agreed on 10:00 am. Its 10:15. Did he set me up? I call Savs. She answers at the first ring.
"Hey! Are you with him?" she said.
"No. I think he set me up." I said.
"No. He's here. He just walked in! I see a waiter leading him to your table!"
"OK. I dont see-"
"I'm sorry I'm late." a man interupted me.
"Savs, I have to call you back." I hang up as I stand up my hand outstretched. "Its alright. I'm Aria." he took my hand. We shook hands then sat down.
"I'm-"
"I know who you are." I said while the waitress, who turns out ot be Savannah, brought us our drinks. We both smiled to say thanks.
"Alright. So, why did you call me here?"
"I can give you a long backstory or I can jump straight to the point. You choose."
"Both."
"Alright. So, my parents split when I was one, my mom sent me to live with my uncle who forced me into the prostitution buisness, I went the the library a couple days ago to look something up for a client. I ws done and didnt feel like going back to my street. So, I decided to look up information about my dad. Thats where you come in." I pause what I'm saying. I pull the papers from my bag and hand them to him. He began to read the papers, occasionally looking up. He was done reading the papers and was about to say something when his phone went off.
"Simon Cowell, how can I-" he was cut off by alot of screamin and some yelling. "Liam, I have to go. I'll be back in a bit. I'm in the middle of something. Good-bye." he hangs up and takes a sip of his coffee.
"Everything alright, Simon?" I ask.
"Yes. Just some people I work with. We were here in the U.S. for a little while. Today is our last day. We are flying back to London tomorrow."
"Ahh, I see."
"So, Aria...."
"Yes?"
"Do you have a birthmark the shape of a heart on your right wrist? he asks me. I lift my hand from my lap and place it on the table, wrist facing up. I am taken aback by the question because I do.
"Aria Renee Cowell?" he asks quietly. My heart nearly stops when he says my name.
"Hi, Dad."
