silent prayerWarm kisses, all over my body.
I peeked an eye open as I stretched across the bed. I warm hand slid up my thigh as I cracked a smile, moving into him. I felt a gentle kiss on my side as I opened my eyes groggily. He smiled, flashing me those white teeth of his.
"Good morning handsome, " I murmured, rubbing a hand over his fresh buzz cut. I leaned into his ear, "I like this new hair cut." I whispered.
He caught my hand and pulled me even closer so that our bodies were molded to one another, he ran his tongue along the back of his teeth, "But I thought you liked my long hair."
I shook my head, "No," I denied playfully, "I couldn't stand it, this is ten times better, believe me."
"Hey," he pushed me away, "I liked that hair, it took me a long time to grow it out that lusciously." He defended, groping me as I fought to stand up, looking for my clothing that was strewn all over his floor. I slid my underwear on and hopped around into my sweatpants.
"I know," I told him, "That's why I was afraid to tell you sooner, I knew how much pride you took in that hair."
I was completely dressed by the time he sat up and was fully awake. He tried pulling me into his lap but I protested knowing I'd never leave if I gave into him. He had to go to practice and I had a girls day planned with Nadia and Casey.
"You're really gonna leave me baby?"
I frowned with a slow nod, giving him a kiss on the cheek. He was grinned from ear to ear as he pinched my leg. I yelped and pulled away.
"Have fun with Nadia, I love you." He said, slipping his shirt on as he looked into the mirror.
"And Casey." I added with an eye roll before closing his bedroom door behind me. He always seemed to forget about Casey.
I played with Scooter for a few minutes before grabbing a granola bar from his cabinets and leaving. I'd been in this house what felt like a million times. Bruno and I grew up with each other. Together the three of us were childhood best friends - him, Casey and I. Nadia moved here at the beginning of our freshman year but she quickly fell in sync with our dynamic.
I said greeted Bruno's mom as I was walking out the of house, she handed me some of the flowers from her garden before I went home to shower.
A tall boy was sitting on my doorstep when I crossed the street. My brows furrowed in confusion.
"What do you want Maverick?"
He stood up and brushed his hands on his pants before looking up at me. His face was unreadable as he stared down at my lips. He took a couple steps forward, "Your brothers' tail light is out, figured I tell you before someone pulled him over for it." He informed me, a smirk on his lips as he looked at me through his long lashes - they were probably longer than mine. Life was unfair.
I rolled my eyes, "Why are you really here?" I asked again, shifting around in my sweatpants. The underwear I had on was extremely uncomfortable.
He held one side of his jacket open before reaching inside the pocket. My eyes widened as he pulled out my journal. How he managed to get that was beyond me.
I jumped forward defensively, reaching to snatch it from his hands. He held it behind his back and held a hand up to me.
"How did you get that?" I demanded, my face probably turning red from annoyance and embarrassment. I wrote everything down in that journal.
