A/N Just a heads up of the change of POV, figured I'd try it out, comment which POV you enjoy most
The day had barely begun and Clarke was off on a rampage. With the luck of 100 delinquents, of course we landed on the wrong side of a radioactive forest.
"They dropped us on the wrong damn mountain," She practically growled at Bellamy, "All that matters right now is getting to Mount Weather."
The former cluster consisted of the group from last night and a few of Bellamy's 'hunchmen', as Jasper called them, but as time went on, a crowd formed. I began to think this was going to be a regular occurrence. We had barely been on earth a day and I swore these two went at each other's throats more that a pack of hyenas.
"We're looking at a twenty mile trek, so if we want to get there before dark, we need to leave. Now." Clarke's speech almost sounded inspirational. If, of course, it weren't given by a 'privilaged' to a group of teenagers who hated the law.
Due to this, Bellamy was easy to get the upper hand and things turned on them pretty quickly. Wells only made matters worse by bringing up his father's orders. And before you knew it, surprise, another fight.
After last night I thought people might be able to deal with each other without all of the drama, to me, it just seemed like a bunch of temper-tantrums. Hell, Octavia laughed right along next to Clarke and here she was now, along side Bellamy, basically beginning a mob. But to be completely honest, I didn't know where I stood.
I liked O and Jasper and Monty, who seemed on the side of the mob. But I also liked Finn and more importantly, agreed with Clarke. I, for one did not want to die out of anyone else's grudge against a privileged.
My thoughts were distracted as Finn jumped down from the dropship and ended the bickering. But by the looks of it, the fight hadn't left without consequence, Wells limped to a seat on a rock and winced as Clarke tested his ankle.
"So, Mount Weather, when do we leave" Finn made this all seem such a light topic.
"Right now"
"I'm in as long as I get the first pillow we find," My neck did more of the talking than my mouth.
"We'll be back tomorrow with food" Clarke sent a concerned look towards Wells and then his foot.
He stared skeptically between the three of us before deciding we weren't going to carry enough food for 100 people, and that's how the addition of Jasper and Monty came.
"Sounds like a party," Octavia completed the ensemble.
We started off excited to explore, stumbling our way through the ferns, unaware of Bellamy watching us, thinking about the silver bracelets around our wrists.

My muscles were sore again and I felt like we had been walking for hours. Gravity tugged at my jacket, weighing me down. To add to the mess, after being locked up for so long my coordination was not at its finest. I tripped on nearly every root, branch, and plant in sight. To my dismay, Clarke led the group and showed no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
On account of the beautiful scenery I became lost in my thoughts once again. The leaves high above us rattled in the slight breeze, cooling my face from the scorching sun as it passed. Pebbles scattered around our feet when we dipped down hills or bounced over a small stream. Once I swore I saw a mouse scurrying through patches of flowers but Jasper only laughed at my disappointment when Octavia didn't believe me.
"That my friend, is poison sumac" Monty stated simply as Finn placed one of the flowers in Octavia's hair. In response she quickly batted it out.
"The flowers aren't poisonous, herbicidal, calming actually,"
"His family grows all the pharmaceuticals on the Ark," Jasper explained, looking like he had done it a thousand times.
"That's a big word for you, Jasper," Monty chuckled at my comment while Jasper playfully slapped my shoulder.
"You know you could use some schooling yourse-"
"Hey guys, would you try to keep up?" Clarke was already almost out of our line of vision as we jogged to get closer. She barely stopped this entire trip and for once the change of pace to pick some flowers was nice. Finn tried to reason,
"Come on Clarke, how do you block all of this out,"
She answered in a heartbeat, "Well it's simple, I think, why haven't we seen any animals? Maybe, it's because there are none. Maybe we've already been exposed to enough radiation to kill us," her eyebrows were raised and she wore an almost disappointed look.
I tipped a finger up and offered, "I saw a mouse about half a mile ago,"
"No you did not," Octavia insisted good-naturedly, I stuck my tongue out and she repeated the action.
Clarke only turned to continue walking, "Someone should slip her some poison sumac," O grudgingly continued. I had to suppress a laugh when Jasper snorted behind her. When he noticed he sent me a glare but I smirked and pressed on.
Some time later, something had caught my eye and I drifted away from the group a bit. Silently, I padded through a path of grass towards a clearing, " Y/N," Jasper coaxed me back but I pressed a finger to my lips before motioning them to the spot where I crouched.
We fell quiet as all eyes landed on the nimble creature not ten feet in front of us. The deer's tail shifted while it ate. We admired it up to the point when Finn tried to get a closer look, breaking a branch under his foot as he did.
"Shit," I heard Monty whisper when we all jumped back. The animal had quickly drawn its head up, or heads. The new angle allowed for us to see the scarred flesh where the one, almost-complete head latched on to a second face on the deer. We stared, horrified, until it bounced away leaving us with the image of its mutated face pressed into our minds.
