"Why? I dont see why we can't ta-" I cut Egoa off as she turned a sharp corner with her bike. But me, of course, I was walking. "No. We aren't taking the short way. Laxus lives on that street" I sighed shoving my hands in my jean pockets. Egoa rolled her eyes and started pedaling a little slower to match up my speed. Yes, Tori and Levy know everything about me and Laxus. Even what happened on that day. They even gave us our own theme song, which I thought was totally unnecessary.

"He has feelings for you, you know" Egoa murmered kindly. I shut my eyes and put my head down. My throat felt dry. It's no time to cry, but he really hurt my feelings by stepping out like that. Laxus took my heart and practically shuddered at me. I cant live knowing one of my friends think that about me.

"Whatever Free" she muttered as she pedaled her silver bike faster. I blinked my eyes open as she used my nickname. Free. I remember when she gave me that nickname.

"Ow! Ow stop please!"  a tiny voice cried. I was turning the corner to an alley way as I heared that voice. What? "No! Not my face! My mom will get angry!" the voice screammed again. Someone was getting beat while I was walking to my 13th birthday party. I couldnt let this happen. I broke into a run, following the moans of pain. I scrambled through the dirt and muck. But as I turned another corner that goes deep into the alley, there was a girl with red orange hair on the ground with her nose bleeding. Hovering above her was another girl  clutching her fists with a red liquid covering them. "Aye!" I shouted, walking towards the surperior looking girl. Back-stiffening, she turned her head to look at me. "Get off her before you'll end up like her!" A discreet scared look appeared on her face. The girl scrambled oof, wailing. I shook my head is disapointment. I looked at the beaten up girl, who was looking at me like I was her hero. A huge smile appeared on her face, even though her bloody nose looked painful. I reconized that face instantly. It was Egoa. "Freed! You help! I guess I should call you Free since you let me free of that situation" Egoa gave a small laugh and picked herself up the rubble in the dirty alleyway. I made a 'tch' noise with my mouth. "Let's get you cleaned up" I said, gesturing her out of the alleyway

"Tori!" I shouted at the red-head. Egoa was pedaling fast now, managing to dodge any obstcle that managed to get on her way. By this point, I was sprinting, trying to catch up to her. I cursed myself. I should have brought my bike today. I didnt know Egoa was going to act like she was on her period today. I fought myself to strecth my long legs to reach at least her tires. From what I could see, there was a taunting look on her pale face.So that's how you wnat to play it? I ran as fast as my legs could take me, enough to reach far ahead Egoa. A surprised look gleamed in her eyes when I stood a good meter in front of her, to get her to stop.

Without thinking, I saw her slim hands push the brakes. I could tell that wasnt good for her rear. Egoa was bumping slowly to a halt. It would have been even painful if I were the one on that bike. Egoa gave a quick pant. "You said Laxus had feelings for me?" I asked panting harder than Tori. I saw her chest heaving up and down rapidly. "You, you idiot!" she cried hopping off her bike. She grasped the black handles of her silver bike so hard that her knuckled turned white. "Do you realize if I wasn't on that bike you'd be seriously hurt?" I rolled my eyes. She was worrying too much. "Whatever I dont care" I said rapidly. Juts tell me what Laxus told you! "How do you know?" I asked, referring to what she said from before. Egoa simply gave a giggle. "Do you realize he left your house because he was embarrassed? I was out in my yard and Laxus was blushing like crazy and trying to act manly at the same time!" Tori was bubbling with laughter.

I felt my cheeks become hotter than the sun. Egoa gave me a wink before walking in front of me, leaving me speechless. So I gathered up everything I could say that wont be stupid. "So does that give me the right to kiss him?" I saw Egoa's shoulders slump down, as if it were a shrug. I silently cursed myself. What I was saying wasnt supposed to be stupid. I gave a small smack to my forehead and watched Tori turn to her house, which was right across from mine. I gave a low sigh. I think I should call Laxus. But that would be too foward of me to do would it not? Sometimes little things like these annoyed me about myself. How must I telll Laxus about my feelings if Im not sure if it's appropriate for me to call him? I can barely show him my face at school, so how can I speak to him? But then I remembered. Laxus wouldnt care if I speak to him. He barely cares about anything. In fact, I bet he only cares about himself and his friends. I gave a sinsiter shot of laughter as I turned around and started heading to Orion Street: where Laxus lives.

Three minutes after  arguing with myself, regretting coming this way, and figuring out what to say to him, I was up to his doorstep, reading to pound my fist at his amber door. My hand came in contact with the door, but after three knocks, the door opened in a flash. I peered out of my bangs and saw Laxus with a mug and a tight gray shirt fitting his body. I tried choking out the words I planned to say, but nothing came out of my mouth. I could tell I was blushing because of the heat running to my face. Laxus stood there and leaned against the wooden door frame, taking a sip of whatever liquid that was in his mug. Laxus gave an impaitent low sigh. "Yeah? You're here for a reason I suppose?" I flinched out of my nerovous state an began to nod violently. I peeked at Laxus's face. It was emotionless, somehow bored. I took a gulp of air and started streaming all the words I planned to say. It was almost like I was a machine, running  on these words. "Why did you bail out of my house when I told you I wasbi. Is not like I said anything to hurt you" I felt so relaxed that tjis weight had been pulled off my shoulders. I looked up at Laxus's face to see a look of pure surprise. Yes! Laxus showed emotion.

I heared an awkward cough escape his lips as he set down his black mug on a shoe rack "Come inside" he muttered opening the door a little farther for me to enter. I steped inside his home and saw his kitchen on the right and a flight of stairs the other direction. Inside the kitchen was a girl probably in middle school typing away at the computer and laughing ever so often. Laxus lead me inside the white kitchen. I noticed the girl peering up at me for a moment and gasping. "Hi Freed!" I gave a confused look. "Hello?" Laxus gave a small laugh as he pulled the steel handle of his fridge open. "That's Mavis. I dont think you remember, but you two played together when you were like six and she was three" So she's a ninth grader? She looks twelve. I itched my arm awkwardly. "Hi Mavis" I grumbled. Laxus suddenly pushed something onto my chest. It felt cold. I looked down in surprise and saw a can of beer resting in my arms. "Upstairs" Laxus ordered. I gave a quick nod and followed this blonde boy, exiting the kitchen and stumbling up a flight of stairs. Laxus stopped in front of an open door. I peered into his room. It was a violet blue. A computer and laptop laid on his desk as well as a black framed bed in the far left corner of the big room. "In" he instructed again, without any emotion. Laxus took a seat on his bed and motion me to sit right next to him. My stomach churned. Thats right. He cant do anything to me. Mavis is downstairs and I remember how much of a good girl she was. I took a sigh of relief as I sat down on the soft mattress. Laxus adjusted headphones on his neck and scrolled through an iPod, selecting a song. I heard a faint twinkle of Shiver by The GazettE. "So I guess you want me to tell you why I fled now right?" Laxus confirmed. "Yeah" I said while struggling to open my can of booze. Laxus snatched the can away and opened it with a flick of his fingers.

I gratefully took the can and sipped the cold, strong liquid, letting it wash over my tongue. It burned my throat in a good way. "I guess you can say I got freaked out for my own reasons" Laxus shrugged and took a sip of his open can. Freaked out? What is that supposed to mean? I feel offended. I know he's gay but Im not 'freak out'. Laxus might have caught a glimpse of my annoyed face and shook his head. "Another thing, that Im sure only women say, is that I was," he used air quotes. "Turned on"  I bit my lip. Was he really turned on by me? I felt my body warm with either happiness or feeling uncomfortable. I stared at Laxus. He turned around and gave me a small smile. "Some girl named Egoa, I guess shes in your Latin club, called me and said something. And my answer to that is a yes I guess" I tilted my head. Laxus took my chin and pulled me towards his face. I was still pretty confused but what he did next shocked me. Laxus was moving his lips against mine and I was stunned to do anything. I felt his cool lips curve into a smile. I started doing exactly what he was doing until I felt his tongue slide into my opened mouth. At this point, I was pretty sure that no one would stop me. But I was wrong. I heard a loud snap. Laxus was first to pull away. He glared outside his door and widened his eyes. I snapped my head and moved my body to see what was going on. Natsu, Gray and Erza looked surprisingly stunned while Lucy held up her phone and had a huge grin on her face. "This is totally my new screensaver!" she squealed.

I was truly afraid. Was she going to send the picture to the whole school?
