The first thing that occurs after the reunion of Loki and Aurora, two lost souls that have found their way back to each other, is the high pitched scream of Aurora Reyes. The God of Mischief flinches, something that he rarely does, and before he can even blink, the auburn-haired girl grabs the closest object to her and throws it at him.
Loki narrowly dodges the lamp and has completely forgotten that Aurora doesn't remember him, he's been too overwhelmed by his desire and yearning for her. "Aurora, please, listen- "
"Not another robber! I'm so fucking done with this day and this town and this life!" She shouts and cannot think of a plan, her confidence from before vanishing into thin air. This situation is entirely different to the robbery before, Aurora is on her own and doesn't even know his intentions nor how the hell he knows her name. This man somehow has an emotional impact on her.
"Well, it seems you've not lost your capability to swear." Loki responds with almost a smirk, yet his heart breaks when he hears how miserable her life has been without him and her memories. His comment only deteriorates the situation though and she attempts to attack him with a book.
"Leave my house or I swear I'll kill you!" Aurora is about to punch him in the face although Loki is much taller than her. The fallen prince intends to catch her blow but she's faster than him, deftly dodging his attempted grip and managing to precisely hit his jaw in the meantime.
"I almost forgot how fast you are." Loki groans as he rubs his bruised jaw, not really surprised that Aurora actually manages to hit him.
"Why do you know me?! You're a creepy stalker, aren't you?!" She plans another punch whilst lunging at him but this time, he grabs her by her waist and drags her down to the ground. With a groan, her head uncomfortably hits the carpet and as soon as Aurora opens her eyes, she meets Loki's face.
The God holds her down, his grip tightly around her wrists as he's lying on her with little distance. Although Aurora keeps struggling, it doesn't lead to anything, he's way stronger than her. Her heart races like hell as the proximity makes it almost explode, her fast breath meets his. Loki's emerald eyes are locked into hers and it's killing him. It's killing him how scared she is of him and that he's not able to feel her in his arms, to kiss her like he would love to as his nerves are already burning through the touch of her hands.
Aurora could easily overpower him by throwing her knee in his abdomen whilst hitting her forehead against his. But somehow his green eyes are distracting her, taking her breath away. Genuine affection and longing are the only things she recognizes in them, like she saw in her dreams. Her anger shrinks and she's suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of emotions. "Who are you?"
Loki is more than relieved that she seems to have calmed down and slowly lets go of her, sitting up. "I can make you remember. You just have to trust me."
Her eyes widen and Aurora cannot believe that it's possible to regain her memories. Can she really find out who she used to be? An insecure whisper leaves her lips as she sits up as well. "Really?"
"You have my word." Loki promises firmly and then moves carefully towards her, trying not to frighten her. Aurora's nails dig deeper into her hand, she doesn't want to be scared, she wants to believe him. And to receive her memories again, she has to overcome her fear. Loki's hands are gently placed on her temples which makes Aurora flinch first but then she calms down. She doesn't know what's happening, she only lets it happen. "Close your eyes."
Aurora does as he says, hesitantly shutting her eyes and she almost enjoys how cool his hands are, like the snow meeting her skin. Her heart is pounding nervously until she hears his smooth voice, sinuous like silk. "And remember me, Aurora."
