time with shawn.

Shawn's P.O.V
Im stood leaning against my car waiting for Ariana to come out of school. I take her and bring her home every day as I pass her house on the way to and from school.
Our mams are friends so me and Ariana basically grew up to together. We have always been best friends... well I mean that is not the way I like her. For a couple of years now I have had a thing for her but I don't think she likes me in that way.

All of a sudden I see her walk round the corner. She walks along with a little bounce in her step which makes me chuckle to myself. I catch4 contact with her brown, glistening eyes. Ariana smiles at me, showing off her dimples. What isn't there to love about her?
"What's up bitch" she jokes while making gang signs at me.
"Shut up and get in the car" I laugh at her.

Ariana's P.O.V
I go to sit in the front seat of Shawn's car but I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket. When I take it out I read the message

Mam: Sorry hunny, your dad and I have to work back tonight - you know what work is like at the moment. There is money in my bedside cabinet, order your self a pizza love you xxx

"What's that about?" Shawn asks looking over my shoulder.
"My mam and dad are working back again" I tell him, "wanna come round for a bit?"
"I don't know, I said I would help my mam cook tea tonight and then I planned on going on xbox with Josh" he replied.
"But I thought Aaliyah's friends were coming over and they just annoy you." Shawn makes this weird noise as if he can't make his mind up. "Pleaseee" I beg, sticking out my bottom lip and giving puppy dog eyes like a young child.
Shawn gives me that 'really what are you doing' type look. "Fine." Shawn agrees.

Shawn and I decided to watch harry potter for the millionth time. We lay under the blanket on the couch, my head resting against his chest. I love nights like these with my best friend.

SHAWN'S P.O.V
My heart is beating so fast right now, I  really hope Ariana can't feel it. I just need to focus on the movie.
"Shawn..." Ariana says lifting her head.
Her beautiful face is inches away from mine. I just want to kiss those lips.
"Y..yes" I reply struggling to get my words out.
"Why is your heart beating so fast" she giggles.
This is it. This is the moment I have been waiting for. I am going to finally admit my feelings to her. It's perfect timing.
"Oh you know umm... scary part of the movie."  I can't do this. I can't risk all these years of friendship what am I even thinking!

*DING DONG*

"Are you expecting someone?" I am confused I thought it was just us two.
"No the pizza came earlier, are you?"
I shake my head.
Ariana gets up and makes her ways to the door. When she opens it, I see Beth and Lily. Great. My time alone with Ariana is over.

I don't bother to think pause the movie as it's not like she won't know what has just happened. We do watch Harry potter on a weekly basis.
I can't quite hear the conversation but I can make out some works. The only parts I got are:
Sorry
Grayson
Over reacted
Noo

And then they hugged with lots of squeals. Ariana invites them in. I can not be bothered to find out what has gone on and I only came over to spend time with Ariana.
