for info about what certain things mean, look at chapter one
the outfit above is what you are wearing :)
After two days of moving furniture and boxes into the moving vans, my dad drove me, Adam, and my mom to our new home, which took about three hours. "Okay, I want you guys to close your eyes..." Mom said as me and Adam stepped out of the car. "On the count of three, I want you guys to open them" Dad finished. "One... two... THREE!!!" They yelled, and I opened my eyes to see an absolutely stunning home before me.
Where I used to live was like old trash compared to this. "How? It's... AMAZING." I say, running over the stairs up to the front door. My dad opens the door, and says, "Why don't your and Adam explore the new house while me and Mom start getting all the boxes in here." I bolted inside, loving how open it was. Since I had gotten in first, I was able to claim a room toward the side (you can see it in the picture), with a slightly smaller balcony than my parent's room. Adam's room was in the back of the house, but still upstairs. He had a balcony, too. Back to my room, I had the perfect view of the sunset (at least later I would). After we got all the boxes and furniture inside, I took all of mine to my room, which was way bigger than at my old house. Dad and Adam helped me get my bed pieces upstairs and then helped me put it back together. after we finished, we did the same for Adam's bed and then we were called downstairs for dinner. My mom told us about the "wonderful" high school me and Adam would go to, and then Dad talked about the nearby steakhouse.
Once we finished that, everyone took the boxes with their stuff up to their rooms. I started unpacking, and I pulled out some photos of me and Andrea, from the fifth grade until at my birthday party almost a month ago, at the very end of July. I had a sleepover, just me and her. We ordered pizza, and played on my PS4 from Christmas. Her present was better than the PS4, though. It was a bracelet she had made specifically for me. Her initials, A. V., were on it, and she made a matching one for her, with my initials on it. She even tested them for the best water resistance, and we've never taken them off since that night. We wore them on our ankles, so it wasn't that obvious.
I tapped the pictures onto a piece of string, and I tapped that onto the space over my bed, below the fairy lights. Now that my room was almost complete, I put all of my clothes on hangers and hung them in my walk-in closet. With everything set up, I decided to go to bed. Almost as soon as I got in my pajamas, I remembered my promise to Andrea, about sending my "life updates" to her. I text her a picture of the house, and then my room.
A: THAT HOUSE IS FREAKING AMAZING [y/n]!!!!! AND YOUR ROOM IS SO BIG
Y: ikr!! and dont forget, you are welcome to visit anytime you feel like it.
A: i wont forget. but for now, i'll let you sleep. it's almost 12:00, and i can barelyy type rn
Y: ok, school starts pretty soon, too. i should check the dress code... i havent yet... :C
A: dont worry, its not gonna be THAT bad. just a bit restricting.
Then I turned off my phone and fell asleep.
