I cant believe it, me and Dante had to travel to the last place Jake had contacted: Toronto.

Sighing to myself I rang Kasey up; Kasey is my... apprentice of some sorts I was also her legal guardian.

She's 17 and has had a rough life.

"Hello" Said her voice, she always picks up.

"Hey it's me. I wont be back when I said, to be honest I dont know when I'll be back."

I said to her.

"That's fine; you want me to go over to Joe's?"She asked, Joe being my uncle, but not biologically.

"Yeah if you dont mind, you have enough money if not go to the Jack and asked him to give you some of mine." I said to her, yes I was well off. I should be considering everything.

"Will do, Riles where you going?" she asked me.

I sighed, I havent told her yet. "Sweetie theres something I have to tell you, its Jake" I said, if your wondering why I havent told her yet is because when I found out I didnt think about anything I just left to here.

"What happened?" she whispered,

I sighed "He's gone..." I whispered into the phone.

"What happened?" She asked,

"I dont know, but I'll find out I promise" I said to her,

"Riley dont do anything stupid." She said to me. "Please, I cant lose someone else"

"Kase hun you're no gonna lose me trust me" I promised her.

After a little more talking, we said our goodbyes but then she said something that shook me

"He'd be proud of you" Then she hung up.

I stood there phone in my hand and just stared.

"Are you okay?" A voice said from behind me, I turned to see Dante.

"Fine." I said to him.

"Are you?" He said coming closer to me, he stood in front of me now, bearly a metre away.

"Yes." I said.

"I do not think you are, you let everything think you are but you really arent are you? You've lived through a painful life" He said. I stared at him, he then did something shooking he kissed my cheek. And walked out.

He scared me- he can see through me.

(NIGHT OF WEDDING)

LEAH'S POV:

I was sitting in my room, by the window when I felt someone's presence at the door. I wasnt up for the rest of wedding, I know I should be but I cant.

"Go away Gabe I'm not in the mood"

"You havent called me Gabe since the turning" HE said "Since you hated me" I didnt turn to look at him.

"Did you expect anything less Gabe? Really, you took my future away from me." I said to him.

"To save you" He said.

I turned then "Did you ever think that maybe I wouldve preferred to be dead to be like this?" I spat at him.

I didnt hate what I was I just- regret it. My life.

He took a step in the room "I would rather you hate me then be dead" He said to me.

"Yeah well youre in luck because I do" I said and turned away.
