01: Marriage Booth

Ash's POV

I realized that I'm standing in front of a Marriage Booth while wearing a veil and standing beside me is a complete stranger.

He's tall and quite... handsome. Napansin ko rin na may white ribbon siya sa wrist.

I bet he's an outsider. Pwede kasing pumasok ang mga outsiders dito during the first week of classes. Or maybe he's a transferee... Hindi ko pa kasi siya nakikita before or baka nakita ko na siya. I just don't care about the people here in our school.

Natauhan na lang ako nang bigla siyang magsalita ng...

"I do."

Tinignan ko siya ng masama pero ngitian niya lang ako at paang nang-aasar pa! Argh!

"Do you, Ash Smith, accept Kevin Villarreal to be your husband?"

So he's name is Kevin huh? But what the f*ck?! I'm not gonna marry this man!

"No!" Sigaw ko sabay walkout.

Hinila naman ako ng isang batch mate ko. "Come on, Ash! Don't be such a killjoy! It's just a marriage booth. Para namang magpapakasal ka talaga!" Sabi niya sabay tawa.

"Aish! Fine!" No lang ang sinabi ko tapos ang dami pang satsat! Leche!

I just said 'I do.' the went back to the bench where I was sitting a while ago.

"Hey Ash!" Lexine called. She's with her boyfriend, Xander... as usual.

"What's up, Lex?"

"Nothing. Wanna join us? Magrirides lang kami then we'll go to the horror booth."

"No thanks." Magiging third-wheel lang ako sa inyo.

"Are you sure? Mukha kang loner diyan!" Sanay naman ako eh.

"Yeah... where's Kyline?"

"She's with Andre." As usual. "We'll go ahead. Byeee!"

"Bye, Lex." Well, if you'd notice hindi ko pinansin si Xander. Simula pa lang hindi na ako boto sa kanila. Alam kong lolokohin lang niya si Lex. Ilang babae na kaya ang pinaiyak niya at eto namang pinsan ko ay masyadong nagpakatanga.

Bumili ako ng frappe para magpalamig. It's really hot here. Tirik ang araw plus sobrang crowded pa. Last day na naman 'to eh and then next week start na ng regular classes kaya titiisin ko na.

"Ouch!" I said when I bumped into someone and worse is natapon yung frappe ko! "What the heck?!"

"Ash, right? I'm Kev, yung kasama mo kanina sa marriage booth."

"I know."

"Ayy ang sungit."

"Anong pake mo?!"

"Don't worry, papalitan ko yung frappe mo."

"You don't need 'to." Sabi ko saka umalis.

"Hey wait!" Sigaw niya pero hindi ko na siya pinansin. Bumalik na lang ako sa bench tsaka binuksan yung laptop ko para magtype ng story. Ever since I was a twelve, I wanted to be an author.
