I think I heard that voice somewhere. I do not know where but I surely have heard it. I was trying to open my eyes but cannot all I could see is darkness. I tried again then I heard crying sound of a baby. My heart clenched at the sight of it, I wanted to run and grab the child and comfort him but was unable to do so. I could feel that kid was beaten, neglected, abused. I can see faces but all are hazy...blurry....The kid seems familiar to me, I grabbed all the energy I had and went to that kid and hugged like there is no tomorrow. But I want to know about the identity of the blurry people. Slowly, I hear that voice and shout from a lady...abuses like faggot, bustard, family killer, and many other things.. but what is the problem with that women. Why is she acting crazy?
My days were going great as I know...Yes...then why suddenly it's turning into black. I was happy during my younger day's yes that's what I remember. My Mai was always beside when I was ill, Dad never said anything to us. He used to be caring and loving. Both of them are dammm over protective about me. They were there with me when I needed them the most. I knew something had happened to me when I was a kid but I cannot recollect it what happened and from that moment I became a loner. My Mai was my strength whenever I used to get nightmare she was there hug me and love me. She used to say everything is fine and I am not alone, she is there and will always keep me safe.
When I entered school I was afraid to be alone and no one wanted to be my friend. I don't know how my Mai came to know that I was bullied is still a mystery. Later, I know that I was home schooled in front of my Mai but if dad had any meeting or business travel she did at home and helped dad with it. I know once there was an emergency in US office and both of them were needed and dad never wanted me to be seen by the world as he is afraid but more than him my Mai is afraid so she called P'Irene parents and told them to take care of me and one of the most important thing was CCTV was then place and security was made more stringent. Mai was most feared person in our family. I was 15years and it was during my vacation when all the family came to stay together as I am not allowed to go out and I don't like also and if also I go it me and Mai at night when the streets are silent. So what happened was that I was reading a book and my cousin who was teasing me just took the book and tore it and all hell broke down as it was witnessed by Mai and no one can say anything. My Mai just gazed her eyes towards my aunt and next thing we know that they packed their bags and left the house and never joined any family function. There are many such instances of Mai being ferocious.
As I become young Mai and Dad became busier with business and most of the time they are travelling. I know they are raising an empire for me only and want to give me once I am graduate. Actually dad wanted me to do business management but I was interested in engineering and dad was against me joining engineering university but Mai made a deal in which both of us won. She said that let Ming graduate with engineering degree and later on he can do a diploma in business management. I immediately agreed with the idea and she smiled. Slowly, I came to know that the woman whom I called Mai and loved her like heaven was actually my stepmom and my real mom never treated me has her son instead I was told that she wanted to kill me. It was really very hard for me digest everything and I think I swallowed the last drop of water making my throat dry. I raised my head and saw the expression on everyone's face and mostly Mai's as if she waiting to hear something to confirm that I am okay. I just looked into the eyes of Mai for straight 10mints then I suddenly I went and hugged her and told her " you are my Mai so no one else matters to me and no one ever should mention the word step mom in the home because to me Mai is my real mother." Let people say anything she will always be my MAI. She hugged me and cried like crazy and kissed my face and I said shhhiiiaa ...Mai don't do it......she laughed.
Now I am busy with my university life and I know more than dad, Mai keeps tab on me like crazy. But I think it's time I should deal with my problem on my own. I should learn to be independent. But then I become hesitant 1st my panic attack and now I am seriously unaware of what is going on. Yet this is my crazy family. I try hard to open my eyes and wake up from my memories actually beautiful memories thanks to Mai. I then can hear faint noise....beep beep..beep..beep...Nong are you awake can you hear me...I just looked at all the face with blank expression..................
MAI'S POV
Why do I feel Ming is not well. After such a long time I am not feeling confident about my feelings. Let me contact Ming first after I complete these meeting...I need to prioritise the call to my son first.
