Mabye if I......

May lover her nephew, she really did. But sometimes he could be just so damn messy.

As she entered peters room on the 7th floor of the apartment complex she contemplated why peter
Simply refused to pick his dirty clothes off the floor.

As expected, Peters many t shirts and jeans were piled out on the floor in clusters. His bed was unmade and his many posters of the avengers were spread out on the wall, some only hanging on by a single tack.

May first started with the clothes near the door and slowly but surely made her way to the center of the room.

Around 7 jeans and 8 shirts later she had made her way to the desk at the right side of Peter's room.

His desk fit snugly into the nook by his window. But the serene image of sunlight reaching through the window and grabbing hold of the desk was sort of ruined by the 5 articles of clothing strewn in the desk as well.

She picked those up as well, and as she reached to grab the t shirt that covered his computer she noticed that the screen was still lit up and logged onto a browser.

Looks like peter left in a hurry," she mused as she gazed at the computer screen.

She put the t shirt into the laundry bag she had been lugging around Peter's room and looked at the computer.

It was set on the internet browser.

He had not cleared his history.

Now, naturally, May was not an overly curious person.

She accepted that some things could be shared out in the open and some things people would like to be kept hidden. But honestly? May was worried about peter. After.... After Bens death. He became very secretive. He would disappear at odd times and would almost always come home from school sporting bruises that looked a little to large to be from the fists of a meager bully looking for a victim.

Maybe looking at his internet history would help her understand him a bit better.

May set the bag of dirty articles of clothes aside and say on the creaky old chair at Peter's desk.

The whole thing was worn but it gave off a very homey-vibe.

Mays fingers hovered over the keyboard, but she froze before she could type anything in.

Peter may get mad at me, she realized.

It was true. Peter's new behavior might mean he could be very mad at her if she went sniffing around his business.

But Maybe he would understand if he found out and she told him she merely wanted to help him.

Steeling her resolve, she put her hand on the mouse and maneuvered it toward the full history button.

Click.

How to get a girl to like you.

May very nearly burst out laughing, but settled for grinning instead. She knew Peter's, well, nerd like tendencies may make him undesirable among his high school peers, but searching up how to get the girl was almost comedic. Maybe this was why he was acting strange?

She moved to the next one.

Nearest stores that sell spandex.

Ummmm.... what?

May had a bit of a hard time comprehending that one. Why would her nephew want to buy spandex? She's never seen him wear anything other than jeans and a t shirt.

Cosplay maybe?

She looked at the next one.

Sowing and cloth repair techniques.

That one also confused her. Peter is pretty careful with his clothes. And if they rip May usually see them up. Why on earth would peter want to sow?
It isn't exactly the most masculine of activities.

Next

Crime rates in queens.

That she might be able to understand. Ever sense Spider-Man showed up on scene crime in queens went down 78% and crime in New York went down 42%. Thanks to those stats people felt a lot safer walking around outside at night with Spider-Man on patrol.

Crime hotspots in queens.

This one seriously worried May. After Bens death peter seemed to curl in on himself and tended to go god knows where at night.

Oh god, what if Peter's joined a gang, may thought frantically.

But no. Peter would never join a gang. He was to good in school and, well, she hated to say it, he was weaker then a 4th grader. He would be dead before the week ended.

She looked at the screen again to see if she could find any closure.

Spider-Man sightings.

May smiled a bit at that. Despite what Jameson says, she thinks the web slinger is a good model for the way the world should look today. He was modest, funny, and never retaliated when Jameson dragged his name through the mud.

Coolest Spider-Man fan art.

May smirked. She had finally figured out why her nephew was acting the way that he was right now. Why he was so secretive and quite right now.

Her nephew.

Whom she loved and adored.

Was....
Was....

Secretly Spider-Mans biggest fan.

She sighed and closed the browser. She was glad that she finally understood her nephews biggest secret.

He came through the door looking ruffled because he was busy trying to track down the web-head.

He looked up spandex because he wanted to cosplay as Spider-Man and sowing so he could make it.

He didn't want anyone to know because he was afraid people would be mad at him for it because of the lies Jameson spreads.

She smiles.

Now that she her nephew all figured out she could focus on other important matters.

Dinner.

Peter came home late every evening.

(Probable Spidey hunting," she mused to herself.)

And he was way WAY hungrier than he usually was these past few months.

Chuckling, she left the room to go drop off Peter's laundry.
