"You look tired." Kayden said as Arit opened the door with a beaming smile on his face.

His smile dropped immediately. "Thanks." He deadpanned.

"Although, you're looking cute today." Kayden smiled at Arit and pulled him close to kiss him.

Who would have thought this six feet tall handsome looking boy would turn out to be gay, a total softy by heart and like him, a five-nine average looking bookworm.

At first Arit thought it was a prank or a dare, or at least it had to be a bet. It could have been a joke too on the new kid.

It took several weeks and a kiss in front of everyone at a party to convince him that yeah, it could be a possibility.

"Have a good time boys." Arit's mother said as she came out of the kitchen wiping her hand on apron. "We'll be late tonight. So, take the key with you, Arit."

"Thanks." He replied. Kayden told her the same. "Bye, mom." Arit said as he picked up the key.

"You two should enjoy too, Mrs. Brisbee." Kayden said as Arit rolled his eyes and dragged him, shutting the door behind him.

Kayden opened the door of the car and held his hand, being a total gentleman with flowers and dark chocolate, but a total douche when was asked where they were going. Kayden shut his mouth with a simple kiss.

"You're insufferable." Arit huffed.

It was about half an hour later when Arit realized that his boyfriend had brought him by the lake.

His throat clogged up. He had been telling Kayden that he used to come here with his parents when he was a little kid and his father was not so busy.

"You like it?" Kayden sounded nervous and uncertain. He certainly was unsure of his own gesture.

"Are you crazy? I love it!" Arit replied throwing his arms up into the air at first and then around Kayden's neck.

Kayden only chuckled and relaxed before letting go of the hug and took everything out of the car. Arit helped to set it all up despite Kayden's protests.

"I'm sorry that you've to help me. I wanted everything to be perfect." Kayden sighed and sat down on the blanket.

Arit smiled warmly at the older boy and sat just beside him, almost on his lap. "This is more that perfect."

They had their lunch peacefully in the quiet. Both of them were very much comfortable in the silence.

The lake was as beautiful as Arit remembered it to be. The sun was about to set just behind the trees. The birds were on their way to their nests. The light cold breeze made Arit relax into Kayden's arms on the deck.

That was it. That was the moment. If not now, not ever.

Arit took a deep breath and gather all his courage up. "Kayden?"

"Hmm?" Kayden replied lazily, his arms going around Arit's waist and face into his neck.

"I wanna tell you something?" Arit was terrified of the outcome and determined at the same time. Kayden pulled away to look at him.

"What is it? It sounds serious." They both could feel the shift of the emotion in the air.

"I have never asked, but do you like magic?" Arit asked, tasting the water.

Kayden laughed a little. "I used to love magic when I was a little kid. There's this show on T.V. that I loved to watch and there was also a puppet show."

"Do you believe in it?" Kayden looked at him questioningly. He could feel Arit was dancing around the real question. "I mean do you believe in magic in real life?"

"When you finally said yes and agreed, yeah, I believed in magic at that moment." Kayden replied, pulling Arit into his chest, closing his eyes to relish the moment with his boyfriend.

Arit almost rolled his eyes listening to how well Kayden could play with words.

"Kayden, I'm... I'm a wizard. I can do magic." Arit blurted it out, his heart thumping in his throat.

Kayden pulled away for a second, frowned down at Arit and started laughing loud enough to scare off the nearby squirrels.

"You're funny, Arit. Really, you can? Then, prove it." There was a challenge in Kayden's tone that made Arit do what he never thought he would.

He flicked his hand up and the forgotten ham sandwich rose up in the air from the ground. It hovered over a little to give Kayden enough time to take in the scene before his eyes and then it came straight into Arit's palms.

"You see now?"

Kayden stared, not believing what he had just seen. He gaped at the sandwich first, then at Arit's face.

When Kayden saw the sweet innocent face and then back at his hand again, he felt his world tilted. He wanted to say something, anything, but nothing came out and his world went black.

Arit looked at the unconscious body at his side and cursed himself.
