Your POV

I ran off into the forest, which put the competition in motion, smirking all the way. I looked through my bag for a potion that would let me change whatever I wanted. I found the glowing white liquid and took a small drink. I want to change my eye color from E/C to black, and my hair color from H/C to white. I was preparing to take off my cloak. I felt a slight stinging, which means it worked. I kept running and running until I found the tree I was looking for. It was taller and pretty close to the walls of Phoenix Drop. They would expect me to run farther away so this could help me train them to be better and expect anything. Plus I don't think they would look here. I want to help them, and then be on my way towards O'khasis to end this.

I jump up into the tree and start climbing to the top. It was getting dark out which will make it even harder to find me. I took off my mask. They'll want me to take it off at some point. Also, I took off my cloak. Dangerous move, but I look completely different. I put them both in my satchel and put it in its pocket dimension for safe keeping. Then I looked up at the sunset. It was pretty. "Y/N!" I heard them yelling my name. Nice trick I'm not stupid.

"Hmmm... I wonder where she went." I heard Garroth below me.

"I wonder too. She just said she would go hide in the forest." Laurence.

"Y/N almost made it seem like she wanted to train us." Dante. I bet Aaron, Travis, and Aphmau went the other way. I decided to have fun. I jumped to other trees moving closer to the gate. Then after a while, I'll yell that time was up. Which will probably make them confused, mad, sad, and a multitude of other emotions. I sat there quietly waiting for someone to possibly see me. I sat and sat and sat. I looked up it looks to be about 9:00. Good time to stop. I jumped from the tree and got to the gate. I murmured a spell that made my voice a lot louder.

"HEY! EVERYONE! COME BACK TIME IS UP!" I yelled. I echoed for about 10 seconds. Good really loud. They all came running. I muttered the opposite of the spell from earlier, which makes my voice quiet. I laughed. "You guys couldn't even find an assassin princess. Pathetic." Most of the guys slightly drew their swords a little more. Aphmau and Aaron, however, stood there unfazed by what I said. I don't believe they heard what I truly said. I think they only heard princess.

"What do you mean assassin princess?" Laurence asked.

"Well... I'm a princess. First in line for the throne. But I have a secret. Only my family knows the curse I was born with. I have another half. The person I changed into at the guard station Laurence." I replied. "Her name is Malora. She is half demon, half witch. When we are threatened, I'll change into her form which helps me defend myself. Of course, she is another being entirely, so she has a different personality than me. As well as I can just change into her without the need to defend myself."

"The fabled princess of Arcanum," Aaron said. I looked down. A smirk appeared on my face.

"I didn't know so many people knew my name," I said, still looking down.

"Of course. You have the power to make entire villages, armies, even kingdoms, bow down to you." Aaron was starting to get on my nerves.

I looked up with a creepy smirk on my face. Everyone, except for Aphmau drew their swords and got into position. "It's probably the reason Zane wants me to marry him."

"So you're the girl he was always talking about." Garroth, his brother, said.

"Yes. I surprised you didn't recognize me instantly." I said.

"Y/N, what are you doing?" Aphmau asked. Taking a step towards me.

"Being the monster everyone on this miserable planet thinks I am!" I yelled, tears beginning to fall.

"What do you mean?" Her voice is soothing.

"Do you want to know why? Why I was so shocked that Aaron knew my name?" I asked. My face was soaked. "Because nobody was supposed to know! This was supposed to be a fresh start! I was going to find a place to call home! A place that wouldn't use me for my power! So that they could gain more power!" I was on my knees crying into my hands. Then I felt someone hug me. I slightly jumped and looked up. It was Aphmau.

"It's ok. It's ok." She whispered into my ear. I slowly and reluctantly hugged her back. M's voice popped into my head. In a soothing manner, she said, Let me take control. Your mentally unstable and you could accidentally hurt someone. Just let me warn them first so they don't stab you. NO! I'll let them know what happened. Ok? Ok.

I let go of Aphmau and she let go of me. I felt my hair turn white and my red horns appear. My eyes also changed to red. My clothes I was wearing turned red and white. Everyone jumped back. Then I let her take full control.

Malora's POV

Everyone jumped back. I stood and looked at all of their faces. Funny they were scared. "Don't worry this was to protect you all. She was mentally unstable, and at any moment she could have broken and accidentally hurt one of you. So this switch was more for the safety of everyone on this planet."

They all relaxed and put their swords away. We all walked back to the village. Aphmau took me to a very big tree at the back of the new part of the village. I was told to rest up there. But being a demon and a witch, meant that I didn't have to sleep. So I just climbed up really high into the other tree. I pulled out my spell book and started creating more spells.

This is where I'm going to leave this chapter. I felt since you and Malora are different people, it was only fair I switched to Malora's POV at the end there. Anyway, that was a different type of chapter, and the next one will be a little different too. Ciao!
