"You understand, right?" the man who had commissioned me stood before me, a disgusting smirk on her face. I stared back at him confidently. "Oh, of course, but you still have to pay me extra for the work that you're putting me through." I commented back with an innocent smile. The smirk disappeared off his face, making me mentally congratulate myself. "Ugh, fine." he grunted in frustration, pulling out a stack of bills out of his pocket.
"Well then, Mr. Miyazawa, it seems we have a deal." I smiled. "I will do the best that I can to steal that artifact of yours." I informed him, before taking my leave.
Two Days Later;
"I'm gonna be late!" Meimi cried, grabbing her hat as she ran out the door. Of all says to be late, it had to be today of all days. There was go into be a new student, and if she didn't hurry she wouldn't get to meet this student!
Thanks to her skills as a thief, she was able to get to school ten minutes earlier. "Good morning!" Meimi greeted, before hurrying to her seat. Behind her, she heard Asuka Jr.'s conversation with his friends.
"So, what do you think this person will be like?" one of the less obnoxious ones asked. "Oh, I hope it's a girl!" the most obnoxious of the group said. Meimi scowled, realizing they were talking about the new student.
She wasn't able to hear Asuka Jr.'s thoughts, as sister had came in earlier then usual. "ahem!" sister cleared her throat, getting the students attention. Of course, she started with the new student.
Switch to Jade's POV
Jade heard the sister, she still wasn't used to how religious this school was, talk about her, the new student. "Ms. Tsurunai, you may come in now." the sister called, to which she opened the door and walked in. There was a frightening silence as she stopped right beside the sister. "Class, meet Tsurunai Natsuko-san. Tsurunai-san, would you like to introduce yourself?" sister asked, making Jade smile.
"Of course, sister." she replied, a hint of a British accent accompanied her. "Good afternoon, it's very nice to meet all of you. My name is Tsurunai Natsuko, you may call me Natsu if you'd like." she introduced herself, adding a charming smile to the mix. She had to make herself believable after all. The class gaped, before there was gossip already in the air.
"Wonderful introduction, Tsurunai-san, you may sit in front of Asuka Jr.-san. Asuka Jr.-san, raise your hand please." Sister said with an authoritave voice. Jade's eyes glanced around, before they finally settled on Asuka Jr. She smiled once again, before making her way over to the desk and sitting down in the chair.
Briefly, she felt a jealous glare on her back, making he mentally sigh. Of course, this had happened last time she had moved. What had she honestly expected? She didn't have to worry much, because today class had ended earlier then usual.
She stood up from her seat, grabbing her book bag and pushing the chair in. She glanced around, noticing two students leaving. She blinked, wanting to follow and see what they were up too, Instead, she was suddenly surrounded by students.
She smiled hesitantly. "I'm sorry, I have something to do." she informed them, politely pushing through them. "Gyaaaa!" she heard a scream from the boy that sat behind her. After that, a little bit of mumbling, and then another scream.
"What's that?" she asked curtly, grabbing the piece of paper from him. "Oi!" he yelled as she read it. "Who's Saint Tail?" she asked, feigning innocence as she gave him back his note. Suddenly, there were a group of girls, explaining Saint Tail.
What surprised Jade were the positive comments from the group. Saint Tail was a thief, why were they praising her? "Oh, she's a thief? Shouldn't you be thinking different of her?" Jade asked with fake innocence.
What followed was only even more praise. She blinked, realizing she forgot that she was supposed to get to her next class. "Oh dear I have to go!" she said, before quickly taking her leave.
Soon enough, school ended. Jade had decided that she would check out this Saint Tail's next robbery location. She had headed home, taking her thief outfit out of her closing on, and dressing into it. There was always a secret identity, after all. She then pulled her long blonde hair into a side ponytail. After that, she attached her star earrings, which were a signature for the thief whenever she appeared on the news. She pulled on short black gloves and ended with some white combat boots.
"Alright, I'm ready to go." she grinned, taking her Bluetooth with her, in case she got in trouble. Her aunt was on the other end, ready to help if needed.
By the time she had gotten ready, it was an hour before the agreed time that Saint Tail would appear. She left out of the window, climbing onto the rooftop.
Ah yes, this would be a lot of fun.
