Jade's POV

That robbery that Saint Tail accomplished was nothing special. It was even more idiotic to almost have a detective like that catch you. I've escaped from a lot smarter detectives before.

Although, the students at my temp. school seemed a lot more excited about it. Its amazing how easy you can get someone to admire you. I'm a perfect example too.

"Ne, ne, did you hear about saint tail's last capture!" one of the students that had approached me the first day said. I looked up from my textbook and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, what about it?" I asked, pretending to be interested in it.

I tuned out basicallly all of it. Nothing particularly interesting was said anyway. I knew all of it already.

It wasn't long before the last class of the day started then ended. It was boring like last time. It didn't help that I also knew all of it. I hurried home unlike the other students, who stayed to chat with each other.

As soon as I got home, my aunt had information about the first item I was too steal. It was pretty simple honestly. There was some legend about it that I didn't bother to care about. It's name was Saint Marie.

After the briefing, I suited up for my first caper in the town. Of course, I couldn't forget the star earrings. I was ready right as the sun started to set.

I hopped upon each roof to go to the destined location. My aunt warned me that it was highly guarded, but that doesn't really matter. I stopped on the roof of the museum the necklace was located in. I glanced down through the roof's windows.

"What the!?" I whisper-shouted in surprise. Why was that stupid kid detective guarding a necklace like this.

....

Now that I think about it, I never heard of a notice by that Saint Tail. I guess that means that he doesn't just chase that amateur thief around. Well, this is only a positive! This just means it will be easier, since he sucks at what he does.

With a bit of pick-locking, I was able to open one of the panels. I peeked in, examining what I could use if I got in trouble. Not that I ever would get in trouble of course.

"Okay, game start!" I grinned, taking out a smokeball from the utility-like belt that was wrapped around my waste. I tossed it down before taking out a cloth and wrapping it right above my nose, so that the somewhat harmful smoke wouldn't get to me.

Not like it kills though. I hopped down, hearing the shouts of the police. "Saint Tail!" I blinked, turning my head. Why the hell did he call that stupid thief's name? I quickly got rid of the case with the help of my tools, before grabbing the necklace and pocketing it for safe keeping. "I got you now!" the detective from earlier shouted. I turned my head, dodging the brat's arms just in time by sidestepping.

"Sorry to disappoint kiddo, but I'm no Saint Tail." I raised an eyebrow, hopping away from his reach. It was suddenly a lot clearer now.

Oh. Shit' the smokes' wearing off. "Eh? Wait a minute, why are you not Saint Tail-" he went on, leaving me to worry about the quickly clearing smoke. I glanced around, before taking out another new tool. "Word of advice kid, don't waste time when you're trying to catch a thief." I winked, while taking out a grappling hook. "Hey, what do you mean kid!? You're barely older then me!" he shouted, as I tossed the hook up towards the ceiling lights.

"You're barely able to catch an amateur thief like that stupid Saint Tail. Seems like a kid just playing detective to me." I grinned, before pressing a button on the handle of my grappling hook. It zipped me up, just as the smoke fully cleared and everyone spotted me.

I grunted, pulling myself up onto the beam and steadying myself. "That was too close for comfort." I muttered. I looked down to that detective kid being ratted out for letting me escape.

"Not in a million years." I chuckled, before making my way across to the luckily located vent entrance. I crawled in and out in a matter of minutes. I popped out onto the roof. It seemed like no one had spotted me.

"Wonderful, now I just have to get it to Mr. Miyazawa." I smiled, before pressing a button on my Bluetooth. It dialed my client's number for me. After a few rings, he finally answered. "Mr. Miyazawa, I have what you wanted. Meet me at that park nearby the museum." I informed him.

"Oi!" I heard from that stupid kid. Darn it. I clicked my Bluetooth again, ending the call. "How the hell did you catch up to me?" I asked, turning around to face him.

"There's a stairway up here." he pointed to a door, making me mentally facepalm. "But that doesn't matter, give back what you stole!" he shouted while pointing at me. I rolled my eyes. "Like that's gonna happen." I replied bluntly. I glanced around, looking for some kind of exit. It wouldn't be too long until the guards came up here.

"Asuka Jr.!" Three policemen showed up behind the kid. Well, speak of the devil. I backed up to the edge of the roof, looking down. Oh, just my luck! There was a thrown out mattress at the bottom of the building.

"Toodaloo!" I winked, before I leaped off the building. I heard there shouts of confusion as I landed on the mattress, A bit of a rough landing, but nothing that would hurt too bad. I got up, dusting myself off.

Wonderful, now I can finally go meet my client.
