4. Meet the Cool Kids

~JACK’S POV~

I walked into my first block class, excited to see who all was in there. I looked around the room and immediately saw someone I knew, “Hiccup, my man!” I laughed giving the brown haired freckled kid a high-five, “Sup Frost.” He answered as we headed to the back corner of the room; I sat down at a heavily graffitied desk and slouched in the tilted chair, “God this class sucks, there’s like no one in here!” I accidently said loud enough for everyone to hear. “Well I mean…you guys are pretty cool though!” I said trying to recover myself, meh who cares they don’t know me. “There’s no hot girls in here either, what’s with that?!” Hiccup said studying each girl, obviously not satisfied. “I know man, how’d we get stuck in here?” I replied resting my head up against the wall. Hiccup shrugged and dropped his books to the ground, “Maybe we can switch classes, it isn’t too late.” He offered, putting his feet up onto the empty chair in front of him. “Nah…its nice being in a class where no one knows you, then you can do whatever you want; there’s no one to impress!” I said putting my arms behind my head and closing my eyes.

I felt a nudge on my shoulder and I woke up abruptly, “Jack! Hey look!” Hiccup said motioning towards a bleach blonde girl wearing a blue cardigan, white jeans, and blue gloves; why on earth was she wearing gloves? “What about her?” I questioned, so only Hiccup could hear, “She’s pretty good looking, eh?” He said with a devilish grin on his face. I watched as the girl hesitantly sat in the middle of the front row, “Meh, not my type.” I stated going back for my nap, “How do you know? You haven’t even talked to her!” Hiccup said in a whiny tone. I ignored him, why did he care so much about me getting a girlfriend? I can’t settle down with one girl, I’m a flirt I can’t help it. “Just saying, you guys would be a cute couple…” He mumbled, pulling out his iPhone to text his girlfriend, Astrid. “Hiccup, you know I can’t ever have a girlfriend, I’m not that type of guy!” I complained, but he didn’t care, “I didn’t think I was that type of guy either…but look at me now, I have Astrid! Listen…all I’m saying is give it a try, you might like being in a relationship!” He said, trying to convince me. We never really had deep talks about my love life, so it was pretty weird how he brought it up now. I rolled my eyes, “Fine...but it’s not going to be with her.” I stated before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep.

~ELSA’S POV~

“Jackson Frost! This is class time, not naptime!” Mr. Walt yelled. I winced as my Reading II teacher yelled, at what I’m guessing is, a bad kid in class. “Oh my bad, Mr. Walt, I get them confused sometimes.” The whole class giggled at his remark, except me, I rolled my eyes; why did I get stuck with all the stupid kids in class? I pulled put my blue pencil bag from underneath my seat and dug through it to find a pencil, ‘Conceal, Don’t Feel. Conceal, Don’t Feel…’ I repeated in my head, hoping I wouldn’t freeze my pencil bag. I pulled out a green mechanical pencil and clicked the top to make the lead come out, but no lead came out, I shook my pencil next to my ear. ‘Danggit…no lead…’ I thought to myself, I didn’t have any more pencils since I told my parents I would only need one to get by, so now I was pencil-less and I was too nervous and shy to ask for one from my teacher.

The girl next to me must have noticed my situation and spoke to me, “Need some lead?” she whispered, she had a Scottish accent, flaming red wavy hair, and a green plain shirt with brown capris on. I smiled at her, “Yeah, thanks.” I whispered back, pinching the piece of lead with my pointer finger and thumb gently so it wouldn’t snap. As I was putting the piece of lead into my pencil, the girl continued the conversation, “My name’s Merida, what’s yours?” she asked curiously. “Elsa.” I said as quietly as I could, “That’s a pretty name!” She replied a little too loud, and in response she got a loud ‘Shhhhh!’ from our teacher; for the rest of class we stayed quiet, both of us not wanting to get in trouble on our second day.

Here you go guys! a longer chapter finally ^.^ So here we meet three new characters, Jack Frost the most popular kid in school, along with his right hand man, Hiccup Horrendous III. We also meet Merida Brave, one of the outcasts in the school. New chapter coming soon so stay tuned! :3
