What in the world am I thinking? Singto gave out a shaky breath in pleasure. But, this feels so good... It felt good indeed. Good enough to make his shyness burst out with confidence to stand up proud and tall. He gasped when he realized what had happened. Quickly swatting away Krist's exploring hand; he jumped out of bed and waddled uncomfortably towards the bathroom.
When he exited quite a while later, Singto only had on his cat-patterned pants, two twirled pieces of tissue paper plugging up his nostrils to stop the nosebleed and a head of wet hair. The poor boy had to relieve his excitement in a cold shower. No one dared touch me there before. The thought made his cheeks flush once more. I feel so violated, yet...I'm not angry at him. There must be something wrong with me. Singto's bottom lip jutted out into a pout, but it didn't last long. The sight before him wiped out whatever thoughts that were circling in his head at the moment.
There was a set of bare moons kissing the air with a hungry ex-bunny's head inside the cage munching on pellets. Krist was too big to get into his living quarter at his current size, so he only managed to squeeze his head in through the door. Gasping, Singto flailed his arms frantically and shouted for Krist to stop what he was doing. His loudness startled Krist, causing him to slam the back of his head on the top metal bars.
"Krist!" Singto knelt down to help the frightened bunny out. "Are you all right?" he asked and stroked Krist's neck soothingly. "You're no longer a bunny, Krist. You can't use the cage."
Krist stared at Singto with teary eyes, a pellet on a corner of his lips and hay stuck in his hair.
Seeing Krist in this state, Singto felt his heart filled with sympathy. "What am I going to do with you?" He sighed and removed the pellet from Krist's mouth along with the random strands of hay decorating his wild mane. "Come on. Let's get you cleaned up." Singto grabbed hold of Krist's wrist and got up to head to the bathroom.
Krist hopped closely beside Singto's lead. The thumping sounds halted Singto in his steps and he turned to stare at the culprit. His gaze slowly lowered to the naked man crouching cutely next to him.
"Krist, you're a human now. Humans walk and not hop." Placing his hands under Krist's underarms to assist him up, Singto encouraged. "Try standing up on your feet. Could you do that for me?"
Gradually, Krist did as he was told and stood up.
"You're doing great." Singto praised and petted his head, discovering that Krist was about the same height as him. "Okay, follow me."
Although he was standing up, Krist hopped behind Singto with both feet at a time.
"Um...don't hop. Walk," Singto demonstrated, "like this. Left foot...then right foot..."
Krist watched attentively at what Singto was showing him and mimicked.
"Ah...you're a smart one. If only you could call my name. Then, it'll be perfect."
"S-Sing..."
"You could talk." Singto cupped Krist's cheeks in excitement. "Could you say that again?"
"Sing..."
Releasing Krist, Singto reached over to hug the man. "Yes, my name is Singto."
"Sing...Sing..."
"I guess you could call me, Sing." Singto let go of the beaming lad and couldn't resist smiling himself. He does have a dimple on his right cheek.
Krist leaned forward to rub his chin on Singto's nose, waking his babysitter from his trance. "Sing."
"Let's get you bathed and dressed. Afterwards, we could go out for some breakfast. Okay?"
"Sing!""I'll take that as a 'yes'."
Singto told the man to get into the tub and Krist obediently did so. With the handheld showerhead in hand, Singto turned on the water and aimed it at the furless bunny. Once the liquid hit his skin, Krist freaked out. His reflex kicked in and he whacked the thing out of Singto's hand causing it to tumble onto the tub. In a panic to escape, Krist rammed head-on into the shower door and stumbled backwards hitting his back on the tiled wall.
Singto gasped. "Are you okay?"
"Sing..." Krist cried out in torment.
"Don't be afraid." Singto attempted to calm the sobbing male. "It's only water. Humans need it to wash themselves with. You're human now. You have to bathe or else you'll stink like smelly socks. Do you want to smell like unwashed socks?"
Blinking, Krist stared at Singto with a frightful expression.
"See?" Singto picked the showerhead up and rinsed his other hand with it. "It's harmless." Reaching out a hand for Krist to come closer, he gently took the bunny's hand and sprinkled water on it. "Look. Your hand is all cleaned. Doesn't it feel nice?"
Slowly approaching Singto, Krist clapped his hands together under the showerhead, splashing water all over Singto.
"Isn't it fun?"
"Sing."
"Shall we continue?" Seeing that Krist wasn't struggling to get away anymore, Singto proceeded. He dried the man with a giant blue towel and dressed him with the earlier dropped cat T-shirt and navy blue jeans from his bedroom. Snatching a black T-shirt and a pair of white jeans for himself, the bunny-sitter got changed as well. Singto swept Krist's bangs aside to place a medicated patch on his bruised forehead to ease the pain. "That's quite a forehead you have there."
Krist gawked at Singto in confusion.
"Never mind. Are you hungry?"
"Sing." Krist rubbed his chin on Singto's right cheek.
"Was that a 'yes'?"
"Sing."
"Okay." Singto chuckled. "It appears that you only know one word."
"Sing...Sing!"
Singto told Krist to sit down on his bed so that he could comb the grinning bunny's hair. "There. Nice and handsome."
"Sing?" Krist pointed at the tissues still wedged in Singto's nose.
"What?" Singto's eyes widened when he realized what Krist was referring to. Immediately removing the bloody, scrunched up paper, he tossed them into the trashcan. Grabbing his wallet and car keys, he announced, "Let's go get some food!"
"Sing!"
"Hopefully, you don't think I'm food." Singto grasped Krist by the wrist and headed out with the clumsy young man doing a skip-hop in every other step. "Walk...not hop."
"Sing."
"Yeah, that." Singto nodded, got both of them in his car and drove off after making sure they have their seatbelts on. "So, what do you feel like eating?"
"Sing."
"I had a feeling you would say that." Singto smirked and signaled his vehicle before he changed lanes. "I guess we should have some salad or something. Isn't that what bunnies like?" Singto mouthed the word 'Sing' at the same time Krist blurted it out and smiled in satisfaction. I don't know how all this occurred, or how long it will last. But for the time being, I could get used to having him around.
