A New Flare

First Catch

After the satisfying victory, Elisha and Llameante continued their way through Luminous City. They continued walking until they were out of the city and into Santalune Forrest. Many wild Caterpies, Weedles and other Pokémon were roaming the area. None of them interested Elisha. She was hoping to find a good Pokémon to try catching. Suddenly a Kakuna jumped from a tree in front of Elisha and Llameante.

Elisha stopped and so did Llameante. The Kakuna looked pissed.

"Ehh, it's not much but it's something. You ready Llameante?" Elisha said. Llameante responded with a nod and got into battle position.

"Alright now use Ember!"

Llameante's ran towards the Kakuna. Her tail flame grew in size and she swung her tail. A fireball flew out and hit the Kakuna. It knocked it back into a tree, nearly knocking out. The Kakuna was shaking getting back up.

Elisha wasn't surprised, Kakunas were usually pretty weak at battling. "One more hit should do the trick, finish it off with Dragon Tail!"

Llameante once again ran towards the Kakuna with her tail glowing blue. She jumped and swung her tail forward. This time however, Kukana managed to just barely dodge by jumping to the side. Lameante ended up hitting a something behind a bush.

"Veee!!?!"

An Eevee came running out from the bush. It's fur was a mess and now dirty from getting hit from Llameante's Dragon Tail. The Eevee was really pissed off.

"EEEVEE VEE!!!( MY FUR! YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THAT)

"Charrr!?!" Llameante jumped from the Eevee's yelling.

"Um.... You do not look happy."

The Eevee ran up to Llameante and repeatedly smacker its tail against her and knocked her back.

"Mander!!" Llameante's was now mad as well. Elisha stood was confused from all this. The remembered she was trying to catch a Pokémon.

"Oh right I should probably catch you. Llameante used Ember!"

The Eevee responded with a quick attack. It ran from the fire ball into Llameante knocking her onto her back. Llameante got back up letting out a growl.

"This Eevee isn't playing around. It is wild wild so it shouldn't be too bad. Llameante, jump above it and use slash!"

Llameante jumped into the air with its claws that were now glowing. It came down to attack. The Eevee quickly responded with bite. Both attacks collided and Llameante's attack overpowered it.

"Now we're getting somewhere, Smokescreen!"

Before the Eevee could get back up Llameante breathed out black smoke from its mouth. It quickly filled the area and Eevee started to cough.

"Now's are chance, Finish it off with Ember!"

Llameante swung its tail letting out another fire ball hitting the Eevee this time. When the smoke cleared the Eevee was on the ground with spirals in its eyes.

Elisha pulled out a pokeball from her bag and threw it. "Pokeball go!"

The pokeball bounced off the Eevee and opened up. A white beam came out and took the Eevee into the ball. It shook three times before letting out a ding.

"Yesss!!! I caught an Eevee!"

Elisha ran over the pokeball and picked it up. She clicked the button and let out the Eevee.

"Veee!!"It was still mad about its fur.

Llameante went up to the Eevee. "Charr, charman.." It apologized about its fur. The Eevee let out a sigh, but accepted her apology.

Elisha pulled out her Pokedex and scanned the Eevee.

"So you're a girl, Hmm. What should I name you... Mmm, how about Melody?"

The female Eevee thought about it for a moment then nodded its head.

"Great! Welcome to the team Melody!"

"Eveee!!"
