Chapter 15: The Dinner

Niall's POV-

I got in Ireland around 4:00 pm. My mom was clearly excited to see me and excited for the dinner. Shit. It will be so weird with Ann there...like I don't know if she's ready to talk about it or move on or what's going on with her and Alex.

6:00 pm..

"NIALL WE HAVE TO GO!!" my mum yells at me from downstairs

"I'm coming, I'm coming" I reply taking one last look in the mirror

We arrived at there house like 5 minutes later and we walked up and knocked on the door.

"Hi guys!" my mom said cheerfully and hugged everyone and I hugged everyone too and when it came to Ann it was like a little hug I guess you could call it.

"Oh Niall your getting so tall!" her mom said

"I know he's growing up so fast!!" my mom said and pinched my cheeks

I stared at Ann and she was looking at the ground which made me feel awkward.

"Come on in" her dad said gesturing towards the table

We all sat down and me and Ann were sitting across from each other.

Our parents were talking and she just stared at her plate and I was eating up her mom's delicious meals she made us.

After dinner her mom said, "Why don't you guys go sit in the back and catch up?"

I looked at Ann and she shrugged and started walking towards the back door, which I followed.

We both sat down and stared at each other for a second before she said,
"I'm back together with Alex now..i just thought you would want to know that."

My heart just dropped.

"After all he has done to you, you get back together with him?" I laugh a little "smart move there"

"Whatever Niall" she replies grabbing out her phone

"I'm going inside." I said standing up

"Have fun" she said rolling her eyes

Ann's POV:

I texted Alex because I was annoyed with Niall. Like he should not of said that.. it's my choice and Alex promised to calm himself.

Me: hey babe. Niall's being rude tonight so I thought I would say a hello to you.

I closed my phone and stared at the sky. Wow was it beautiful.

After a couple minutes my mom came out.

"Sweetie?" she said said touching my shoulder

"What?" I reply sitting up more

"Why aren't you talking to Niall? You guys haven't seen each other in forever and I'm sure he still lik-"

I cut her off..

"Don't worry about it mom, we can text or talk if we want, we don't have too." I snap

"I'm just worried about you."

"Well don't be" I said staring at her, "I'm fine mom, really"

"Okay if you say so" she started talking, "lets go tell our guests goodbye"

We both walk in to see Niall on his phone which his mom took right when I stepped in and he glared at her but looked at my mom and I.

"It's getting pretty late, me and Niall should be getting home soon." Niall's mum said with a warm smile

"It was wonderful having you over for dinner." my dad replied

"It was delicious Mrs. Jackson" Niall said staring at me

That was the first time Niall called my mom by her married name.

We walked them out and gave hugs except I didn't hug Niall which you could tell hurt him...

"Bye guys!" my parents yelled as they were walking to their car

After they left I went upstairs played my IPod with depressing music and laid down. I just don't know what to do anymore.
