'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

I groaned from the sound of my alarm. I reached over to hit the alarm clock multiple of times trying the find the snooze button. After a minute, I finally found it. I sighed and sat up in bed. I did my morning stretches then got out of bed.

I slowly made my way to my bathroom which was connected to my room. I did my morning routines and went back into my room to pick out my outfit for the day.

Once I was dressed I grabbed my phone and my bag and made my way downstairs to see my parents and Elisa and Daniel, my best friend and my boyfriend who picked me up every morning. They all seemed to be having a deep conversation, because they didn't notice my presence.

"Good morning," I said. They all stopped talking and faced me.

"Good morning, sweetie," Mom and Dad said together.  I raised my eyebrow in confusion. They all seemed to be acting weird, but I decided to drop it.

"Okay, let's get going," I said giving Elisa a hug and Daniel a kiss.

"Bye Mom, bye Dad," I said.

"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Williams," Elisa and Daniel said. We all walked out of the house and got into Daniel's truck. I sat in the passenger seat, Daniel sat in the drivers seats, and Elisa sat in the back typing away on her phone.

Daniel started the truck, and backed out the drive way and then started down the street to school.

"Miss Williams you're late," Mr. Baker said.

"Sorry," I mumbled and took a seat in the back.

"We're watching a video based on Chemistry Consolidation, so take out your notebook and take notes, you have test on this tomorrow," he said before starting the video.

I took out my notebook but didn't write anything down. I turned and looked out the window. As I started at it for a few moments it shattered causing the entire class to scream and duck down.

"Is everyone alright?" Mr. Baker asked. The entire class nodded. "I'm going to call the principal."

How the hell did the window shatter? Nothing was thrown at it. I for sure didn't do it. All I did was stare at it.
After the first two hours of class was over it was time for lunch.

"So, Addie, your birthday's coming up soon, have anything in mind?" Karen asked after we got our lunch and sat at our table. Karen was my other best friend, I met her after I became friends with Elisa who introduced me to her and from there we became the best of friends.

"Nah, I actually don't want anything but just my family and friends," I said before taking a bite of my French fry.

"Who are you and what have you done to our best friend?" Elisa said.

"What?" I shrugged.

"Addie, you turned your birthday into your favorite holiday where everyone has to celebrate it. Every year you expect something big and it happens and now you don't want that anymore?" Karen asked.

"Having my friends and family there will just be enough for me," I said.

"Okay," Elisa said. After a while we sat in silence and ate our lunch. While I ate my lunch, my eyes were soon covered.

"Guess who?" A guy said. I knew it wasn't Daniel, so I'm guessing Alex, his best friend.

"Alex?" I guessed. He mumbled under his breath and removed his hands from my eyes and took a seat next to me.
