Chapter 2: Lucy

I woke up on my bed in the armor and the, umm, what did Chuck call them Kakutes? What ever they are called they were on my fingers still. I took of the leather armor and rings and put them in a box in my closet.
"Where the hell is Alex going to put that giant scythe?" I ask aloud. "I hope she doesn't get caught. I should get some rest, tomorrow is going to be crazy."

It's now the next night and I told Alexandra to meet me by the high school because we both live five minutes away. So I'm sitting there with my rings on my fingers just in case some idiot tries anything.
"Lucy where are you!?" Someone that sounds like Alexandra shout whispers.
"I'm over here!" I whisper shout too so no one hears me.
I see this figure in this black hood with a cloak thing wrapped around them, I can only assume that this person is Alexandra. To be safe I was ready to punch them if need be. As the figure walked closer it seemed harder to focus on them like they were disappearing, but were still there.
"Hey Lucy, hope you haven't been waiting long." Alexandra says as she takes off her hood and then I'm able to focus again.
"No, it hasn't have been that long like ten minutes." I say trying to focus on her face as it was still a little distorted. "Just... I don't know what it was, but i found it hard to focus on you when you were approaching me." I say confused.
"What are you talking about?" Alex says puzzled, "I was right there. The only thing I can think of that could have done that is the hood." She says while tugging on the hood lightly.
"Yeah it must be." I say rubbing my eyes. "Any way I have a question for you."
"Shoot." She says energetically.
"Where in the hell did you put that scythe?"
"Its right here." she pulls out this weird looking thing that looked like a piece of red scrap metal.
"That's not the scythe, that thing was the same size of you!" I object.
"Just watch and step back." she says pushing me back about five feet and stepping away about another five from where we stood. She starts smiling and spins the piece of metal up and apart of it shot up and out. She then proceeded to continue spinning the object as it unfolds into a very large scythe as the three blades finally fling out.
I just stood there in awe as Alex stands there with an evil smile on her face holding the scythe with one hand as it rests on her shoulder.
"I found out that it folded up last night and that I could do that this morning in my yard." Alex says smiling.
"Wait, you had that out, during daylight spinning it around, in your yard?"
"Yes but don't worry no one was around, everyone one was at work."
I stood there glaring at her as she starts spinning the scythe around her refolding it.
"Let's get going Lucy they could be there already." she says smiling and putting the folded scythe behind her and hooking it on her belt loop.
We were about five minutes from the lake so I decided to talk to her about a certain someone she likes with in the group.
"So have you talked to him yet?" I asked nudging her shoulder.
"No I haven't, I was going to yesterday but because of what happened I didn't get a chance too." Alex said sadly.
"Oh, I'm sorry..." I said with regret in my voice for bringing up this topic.
"It's ok, not your fault." She said surprisingly happy.
As we get fifty feet from the bench we see JJ wearing his clothing and Isabel with her knives in her hands sitting on the bench talking and laughing. I turned to see Alex turning a bright red so I stopped her so I could calm her down.
"Alex calm down, I know what you are thinking and you need to calm down ok." I say in a panic. "Breath ok, in through your nose and out through your mouth."
I look over and see JJ putting his on Isabel's shoulder and say something serious from what his facial expressions looks like, he looks over to see Alex and I standing there.
"Hey you two come over here we just got done talking about something that's gonna blow your mind." JJ yelled.
Isabel started laughing like she does when she's stressed so that wasn't a good sign. Alex and I walked down to them and sat down, luckily I got Alex to calm down a bit before sitting down.
"So what were you guys talking about?" Alex asked with a sad and angry tone in her voice.
"Oh everyone will find out tomorrow." He says smiling while looking at Isabel
After that David and Chuck showed up laughing about something. David had his axe on his back and I'm wondering how in the hell he can carry it when it looks like it weighs a ton. Well Alex did twirl a huge metal scythe around her body so I guess it must be light to him.
"Hey girly." Chuck says as he comes up and kisses me, something from his waist pokes me in the side.
"Umm, chuck, please tell me that's your little swords poking my hip, because if it's not, I may need to slap you." I say starting to blush.
"Yes it is." He says laughing and pulling out one of his knives. "They are called Khopesh."
"Yeah yeah, whatever." I say smiling. "So where's Eric?"
"I'm right here." Above us we hear a deep voice and we see Eric on the tree branch.
"Holy hell man," JJ said startled. "You can't do that to us."
"Sorry, but it's time for us to go." He says quickly. "Why don't all of you have your armor?"
"We thought you were going to explain why we were chosen."
Chuck said for the group.
"I was going to but you need you armor as well as your weapons." Eric puts his hand up to his face and sighed.
"Hey guys let's go back to our houses and co me back tomorrow with our armor and weapons." I said to try and calm Eric down since he could probably kill us all if he wanted.
"We don't have time for another day we need to go tonight," Eric said annoyed with his hand still on his face, "You all need as much training as you can get before the Ancient One is at full power."
"Ok then just put us at our homes again and we will just walk back here." JJ said playing with a card from his deck of cards.
"If I could I would, but it's past time I can get you to the training grounds." Eric said removing his hand to look at JJ, "There was a reason why I said get here by midnight, it's the only time I can use the spell."
"Why didn't you tell us to grab our armor and weapons then?" I asked.
"Because it was self explanatory from what I told you yesterday. Just meet back here at midnight tomorrow with your armor and weapons." Eric said in annoyance.
He waved his hands like the night before and all of a sudden there was a flash of light and I fell on my bed.
"Damnit, I wish he wouldn't do that." I cursed to myself.
I put my rings away and went to bed hoping that tomorrow will be better than tonight.
