Hakyeon looked into Leo's eyes. They were fiery cold and left no one questioning as to what was happening in his mind. "Why? Why would he choose the one person that destroyed my life?", he mumbled under his breath.

"I tried saying that she was your ex, but he wouldn't have any of it. He is in love, he says."

"And so was I, until she ripped my heart out and left me to bleed to death. N, nothing hurts as much as being betrayed by the one you love most. She destroyed me, inside and out, because she didn't want to leave without a small reminder. I don't want Ken to experience what I have. I don't care how much he will hate me for it."

"Leo, calm down, we will tell him again and again till he gets it, but now go to bed and sleep. I'll see you tomorrow."

Leo looked at his friend. Hakyeon had always been more collected when it came to things like these. There was a dominant calmness in his voice, while his posture contained eagerness and lust to fight. Traits usually associated with warriors or even soldiers, but N was neither and that somehow made him more threatening, as you didn't know what to expect. Leo nodded and said, "Sleep tight."

He smiled and walked towards the door. Just before he could walk out, Leo spoke again. "Hey N, keep that key. I might need you here sometime in the future and now you can come in easily." The hurt flooded any meaning he had wanted to give to the words. "Don't think too much, we'll solve this." N's words were enough to get Leo's heart to calm down. He fell onto the couch, exhausted with emotions and with a big fog in his mind. A single tear fell down his cheek.

"Why did it have to be her? Why her? Why not any other woman?", he screamed into the empty air, "Is this all to get back at me for letting her down? I only left her side once. I had to."

Streams of tears wetted his face and there was no stopping them. He knew Ken must have been oblivious to the fact that Leo had dated her, but it still hurt. She was still the girl who had ruined his life, she was still the only girl who had gotten into his heart. He had loved her like no one else, but she repaid him by turning her back to him and walking off. Why did he feel jealous? Why was there still this longing for her? Did he still love her somewhere? Even after all she had done to him?

With pain in his stomach, he rested his head in his neck and closed his eyes. There was no need to feel this bad, he told himself. You're just shocked, yeah, shocked, that was it. He was not completely there. That explained his emotions... But what explained his emotions even more was that he tried to cover them up. He didn't exactly know how he felt, but he wouldn't let her come back into his life. She wouldn't steal his friend as well, of that he was sure. All his money, all his furniture, even his house didn't count up to the value he found in friends.

After many long hours of thinking, crying and cursing, he finally fell asleep, only to be woken by the sun a mere half hour later. Broken he lifted his heavy body off of the couch. "I need to clear my mind. The match is this afternoon and with this head I'll definitely lose.", he spoke out loud to get himself motivated. After a quick breakfast, he changed into some simple baggy clothes and left his house.

The morning sky was red like the face of a nervous girl falling in love for the first time. Embarrassed as she was, every move of the other made her blush. As she grew confident the blush changed to a bright shine, till eventually the time came to confess and that blush reappeared. However, the night would always come to rob all the colours from her face as things never worked out. Luckily, the darkness never stayed as she would fall in love again and start everything anew.

There was nearly no one outside, so Leo put in his earphones and started humming along. Running always cleared his mind. It was like a trance to him, in which his mind put everything in place and relaxed. He sighed deep and smiled. The world already looked a lot better.
