"You burned your body?", Aster is furious! "What in the blind," she blinks, "is that going to accomplish?" She taps her foot, "Now we're both stuck here. Does this look fun to you?"

"I didn't want to go to hell?" Penny gasps feeling a bit colder.

"Why the Hell not?" Aster looks absolutely flabbergasted. "Lucifer is the realest God out there. You wanna know something and he gives you an audience. Just be sure to phrase it correctly and oh, he'll show better than the telling an answer." Penny looks as if he is blushing, "oh, let me guess. Some chica or other weak individual is responsible for your bad decision?"

Penny bellows, "Didn't want to work for the library for the rest of my existence, ok!"

"Zelda? Ok, so she's a bit rough around the edges. She loves books. If you listen to her tell her story you'd understand her opinion. Oh and by the way, she's more knowledgeable than any Master Time whatever or Professor in the entire Brakebills campus!" Aster gets very serious, "See she was smart enough to realize its stupid to remember everything. Just know how to read a reference, make sure you have the best collection of knowledge and be smart enough to know how to use it when the time comes. Oh and teach the children cause they are the future."

Penny tries to walk away but, Aster stops him, "but NO that can't happen because too many pissed off people who don't talk and just bury their feelings so deep inside. They have no choice but to use violence to let it out."

"It's my fault I get shit on by these so called people you care so very much about? Look what's happened to you."

Aster slaps Penny, then calmly says, "I'm no victim. Shit happens. Grow from it! Overcome it. Do you really know what it takes to have a healthy Rose garden? Read a book, ask a botanist a question, give them credit for the knowledge they've shared. A bit of common decency goes a very long way."

Izzy sighs and says softly, "Penny, the rules of the library are, you can't read the books about yourself however, you can read books about those around you

Izzy sighs and says softly, "Penny, the rules of the library are, you can't read the books about yourself however, you can read books about those around you."

Penny looks like he's been hit with a brick. He sits down and accepts what Izzy says next.

"You never once asked Dean Fogg or even the Librarian about how they became magicians."

Penny just sobs. He gives in to the complete loss of control over his emotions. "U Idiot" He finds himself in the NietherLands looking at Professor Fogg. "I failed again?"

"In the words of the Fonz, Exactimundo." Professor Fogg looks annoyed, "what exactly is your problem?"

"Use words." Penny says aloud.

"My words won't change the fact you need to learn to control your emotions without cutting them off." Professor Fogg sighs, "Stop trying so hard, just be the Penny. Or whatever, however you see yourself."

Frustrated, Penny screams "I don't know who I am! Not yet..."

"Of course you don't." Henry Fogg sits down. "It's up to you to define your own existence. All others can do is teach you, remind you of who you know you are already, on the inside." He puts a hand on Penny's back, "It sucks but, you'll get through it." and with a wave of his hand Professor Fogg sends Penny back through the simulation. "You want to graduate some day right?"

Penny shakes, thinking "I should have listened to the nerd more when he talked of Filory."

The clock ticks and Penny's memory is reset.
