Battlethebeast Stories

(Not an entry into the #BattletheBeast contest). Penny, in his trips to other worlds, stumbles upon one that houses an opportunity to summon a god. One that is trapped and yearning to break free. One that is, perhaps, willing to lend a helping hand to their cause of killing the Beast. All they have to do is navigate deceptive forests, avoid psychopathic pixies, religious fanatics and maybe do a little dance number, of a sort.

Quentin Coldwater and friends are hunted by a powerful monster hell bent on destruction. Their only chance to save them themselves, Fillory, and all of magic is to travel back in time to before the Beast gains his powers and eliminate the threat from the source.

Memories might help defeat the Beast!

1st Book In the "Rise Of Ren" Series Kira Has Been so Driven towards the dark, ever since her mother was killed, she has been taught the dark was the best for her. She has been so isolated in the dark, she had killed few traitors. And she is not changing her mind on the dark, or is the light really that bad? The light will eat you alive. I was told. The Traitors will surely be killed in me and my fathers eyes. No one can stop it. Ever since i was born and i saw my mother betray i wanted to defeat her. So did my father. The darkness is such a gift to the galaxy. But many people don't have time to realize that. My name is Kira and i right for whats right and for my will. Kira, The Daughter of Ren, is living and being trained under the Knights of Ren, she has been told awful things about the light. She convinced violence and living in the dark is the ideal life, and the best way too life or is it?

This is my entry for Battle The Beast. I don't typically write Sci-Fi but I liked diverting from my usual genres of writing.

A magician born of two different covens must make the choice to embrace his evil side or his good while saving the world from a beast that is uncontrollable.

#BattleTheBeast submission - One of Quentin Coldwater's earlier battles with the Beast! In which Ember tries to help fight the Beast.

Challenge is to create a 1,500 word short story telling us about one of the other times that Quentin and his friends battled the Beast. Some things should NOT be born.

What if Quentin Coldwater had never attended Brakebills School of Magical Pedagogy? What if he'd never met Eliot or Alice or Margot? What if Jane Chatwin had decided that the only way she might defeat her brother, The Beast, was to toughen up Quentin a bit, force him to struggle with the soul-crushing disappointments of the world by himself? Might this version of Quentin be adult enough to save the fantasy land from his childhood?

Quentin is left alone after his last run-in with the Beast. He knows it's only a matter of time before the Beast returns to finish him off. He needs the help of someone powerful to defeat the Beast. Quentin has been trying desperately to find some type of leg up in defeating the sinister Beast who's wreaked havoc upon the mystical land of Fillory. Will the tides turn when a mysterious woman shows up to inform Quentin of his deeply rooted ancestry in Fillory, or will they prove useless? (This story is for the 1,500 word The Magicians [Syfy] #BattletheBeast competition).

Quentin encountered the beast in the past by using a time travel spell but somehow the encounter between him and his friends resulted into something bad all of his friends are now in slumber plus his friend joy was kidnapped what will happen next? read this so you will know ^_^

This story is the end of my alternate universal story of Quinton's Battle with the Beast and all it came to be.
