The Luminar coven and all who had agreed to fight with them, waited at the boundary line for the Black family to arrive. The sky was black with storm clouds, as if to emphasize how terrible Andromeda felt at that moment. Low thunder sounded overhead. Andromeda stood in front with her father and mother, silent as the grave.

"Be witty, be quick, and you will survive this." Violetta said, sensing Andromeda's silence and anxiousness.

"Yes, Mother." If only you knew the REAL reason I was nervous. Andromeda thought. Meanwhile, the Black coven gathered at the boundary line. Vincent was as silent as Andromeda was on the other side. He imagined that Andromeda felt the same way he did right now. Sick to his stomach.

"Be strong, Son, and show no mercy." Stephen told him.

"Remember what we taught you, Vincent. These people deserve no mercy." Kate added.

"How in the world would you know anything about them?" Vincent thought to himself. Rain began pouring down, drenching both armies almost immediately.

As the two families raced to fight one another, lightning flashing, making the sky appear grey, and the trees black. In the fray, members of both families fell left and right. Screams filled the air, just as the lightning continued to light up the sky. Metal clashed, armor rattled as enemies pushed against each other for domination. All the time, Vincent and Andromeda were relieved not to be forced with having to fight each other. Shoving away a woman bearing a battle axe, Vincent looked to his left to see Andromeda. The thought that she was a vision of loveliness, an angel of death, was short-lived. He saw that while she was holding her own against the person in front of her, Vincent was aware of the two coming up to her from behind. Vincent rushed to help her, now battling his own people. He thrust his sword up, the metal clanging against the weapon of the other, and shouted,

"Keep away from my wife!"

The two men in front of him froze, dazed by the blank statement. Andromeda and the man she fought paused in mid strike at the sound of Vincent's voice and the words he spoke. She expected that the truth had to come at some point, but not so soon. But then, when would have been the best time for this to be mentioned? As the words rang through the air, men and women on both sides froze, and gathered around the small circle. No one was intent on arguing, only interested in what had been said. Andromeda watched as the warriors surrounded them, and knew exactly what she had to do.

"It's the truth! She called out, taking her place at Vincent's side. At last, the heads of each family emerged from the crowd.

"How could that be?" Violetta questioned.

"Say that's not true!" Kate called.

"It is, Mother." Vincent contradicted.

"We've been married the last two days." Andromeda informed their astonished parents.

"How could you?"

"Have you forgotten everything we taught you?"

"Have you thought of the damage you've done?" Their fathers darted these questions one after the other.

"Nevertheless, it is the truth." Vincent repeated.

"You were wrong! All of you were wrong!" Andromeda shouted.

"Seize them both!" both fathers cried simultaneously.

Men clad in heavy armor came forward, their arms outstretched to grab them. Andromeda and Vincent turned and kissed one last time. Even if they tried to fight their way out, they both knew to do so would be pointless. But even as they were taken, their hands pinned behind their backs, they fought to be released. Both were sure that they would never see the other again.
