"God of the Sky! You are no match for me!" Lucifer hissed, eyes two burning shades of a darkened rainbow.

The ground rumbled intensely, a spout of water bursting through a fissure. Light streamed from the droplets as it splashed over the tainted land. The silhouette of a man grazed the water's edge.

A dark figure suddenly dropped from the crack in the sky, contorting into a recognizable body. With him, seven mass of darkness seemed to materialize from nowhere.

"Who the fuck...?" Delta muttered.

"The Reaper Generals," I told her, bowing my head respectfully. "The Generals are like my managers, next in line to being Elders. They preside over us working Reapers' guidance of souls."

"I commend your bravery, Reaper," a General told me.

"What did he say?" asked Delta in a whisper.

"Can't you translate?" I questioned back.

"I've never heard your language before, you prick! I need a second to decipher it."

"Lucifer!" Zeus called sharply in anger. "You've stepped out of line. How dare you interfere with the network of the Underworld!"

"I'm not the most patient archangel in the world, old man," Lucifer returned lazily.

"Ex-archangel!" Another General countered. "Don't forget that you're banished."

"I wish not to look over a damned palace of fire and ashes! I merely refused to bow to these lesser beings we call humans! They burn our trees and kill our animals! I made my point clear, and yet I get thrown out of Heaven for that!" Lucifer snarled.

"Now you're just whining like a little bitch," Delta replied. "Fine, sure, hate the humans for all I care. But you're a prickly pear from a cactus! That's why you were cast out."

"What Delta means is that you can hold opinions, but do not harbor wrath and envy with such thoughts," I added.

"Stand down," Poseidon commanded, water streaming around him as if he were the nucleus of an atom. "This is unnecessary. This is a war—"

"I decide when I'll stand down!" the devil interrupted, body sizzling as it moved. "You gods are all the same: cowardice and weak!"

Demons crawled out from the inky sludge Lucifer left behind him. Hellhounds began roaring as they leapt to attack Delta and me. I took a step back and readied myself for another fight, hand still injured and laying limp at my side. That'll be a problem.

"If war is what will set me free, then a war I shall bring!" the devil declared.

Portals unleashed the Seven Deadly Sins, regenerated and very much alive again. They all looked at the two of us with vengeful eyes.

"Miss me, Maxi?" Lust mocked, voice distorted and angry.
