I leaned against y/b/n's locker waiting for her to grab her books ,I tapped on the Dm section of my insta constantly refreshing it hoping to see the one message I had been craving "y/n he'll respond ,just give him sometime he probably gets thousands of messages a day he just needs some time getting through them all" she looked at me empathetically "let's just face it he will never see it, I'm lucky if he even notices me I'm practically non existent in his life and not to mention tonight is the prom I got a stupid dress and everything" she gave me a hug "who knows maybe you'll get lucky ?" The bell rang alerting us to get to class "see you at lunch " " see ya" we left our separate ways . I couldn't help having these thoughts, Nate's a very popular guy and not to mention all the girls who get his attention are probably super model types ,I can't blame him he's thee Nate Garner I'd be dumb to think he'd ever take me to prom . I had sent him a message about a month ago asking him if he would be my date to my prom ,I told him I'd buy the tickets and all he had to do was show up ,I even gave him my address . I just feel so stupid it's hard being a fan girl cause you just have so much love and care for this person but to them you're literally just another number in there bank account . I sat down feeling a bit bummed out ,once everyone was settled Mr. Piper began his speech on the history of the great depression .I tried my best to focus but all I could think about was Nate and his stupid face .

The day was long and dreadful I walked into my room dropping myself on to my cozy bed . I let out a sigh and grabbed my phone doing my usual Dm check and of course nothing,I let out a groan throwing my phone to the side . I got up deciding a long shower was needed I undressed myself and jumped in the warm shower. After what felt like a good hour I was stunned by my brother pounding on the door " WHAT!?" he "someone's at the door for you " I let out a groan turning off the water most likely it was y/b/n coming to hang out "FINE I'LL BE THERE IN A BIT !" I wiped myself down and put on my white tank top and cotton short shorts I slid on my fuzzy black sandals and brushed my hair wrapping it in a neat bun . I let out a sigh grabbing my phone and going down the stairs I noticed y/b/n wasn't in sight " Jake where's y/b/n ?" He looked at me confused "y/b/n isn't here it's some random person I made them wait outside " I let out a sigh and opened the front door my heart practically fell out of my ass at the sight before me .he turned around a sweet smile appearing on his face his slick jaw line flexing with each word,he wore a white dress shirt and suspenders along with some nice black slacks,the sight of him was breath taking " hey y/n I got your ask to prom and I thought why not just show up at your place and surprise you ? I couldn't just simply answer your dm , you're too special for that " I stood there dumfounded . My heart was beating a thousand miles a minute "uh... Y-yeah N-nice of you to stop by " seriously that's the best I had ? Nate fucking Garner just accepted my promposal and this was the best answer I could come up with?!?! He let out a smooth laugh "so is the offer still on the table? " I nodded as his blue eyes scanned my body "yeah of course"he smiled pulling me in for a hug his large hands were placed on my hips ,I could literally faint he kissed my cheek "so should I wait while you get dressed?" I looked down at my outfit wide-eyed "oh right! Have a seat I'll be right back " I ran upstairs with the biggest smile on my face excited for what was to come of tonight.
