Chapter IV

Chapter 4

"Gotta go,mom" Savannah gave her mom a peck on the lips and grabbed a bagel from the table.

"Get home early ok?" Katherine called out as she tries to juggle some dishes.

"Yeah yeah." Savannah managed to say while munching her bagel.

She gulped the last bites of her bagel and grabbed her backpack.

"Bye Cindy. Be a good little munchkin ok?"Savannah blew a kiss at Cindy who was beaming at her.

"Bye mom." She waved at her mom who was cleaning the mess Cindy made.

She waved back and Savannah closed the door.

She ran to her best friend's car.

"Good morning,happy camper" Sasha greeted her when she climbed in.

"Good morning to you too." She smiled at her best friend's grinning face.

"What made your day? Since you just heard the worst rumor of your life last night." Sasha smirked at her direction, starting the engine.

Savannah's smiling face turned into a scowl. She was being extra friendly to Sasha today but that's gonna change now. She was totally avoiding that topic since she heard it last night. After she read the message she  immediately called Sasha and said sorry for not believing her . Sasha just brushed it off like it didn't matter at all which Savannah thinks it does.

"Nothing. I just woke up with a great start but since you mentioned it...." Savannah trailed off,checking herself on the rearview mirror.

"Oh really? Or are you just forcing yourself to not be affected?" Sasha said,glancing at her.

"Really can't I be happy? And why would I be affected? It's not like we had a relationship or something." Savannah looked down on her clasped hands and starts making figures with it. It's a habit that she does when she's bored or is experiencing a certain topic that she's not comfortable with.

"Ok I'm sorry.Im being a bad friend." Sasha gave her friend a symphatic look and reached for her shoulder and squeezed it.

"It's ok." Savannah just shrugged and looked out the window. She usually enjoys watching the view outside even though she saw it a million times but right now she looks out with disinterest.

How could she tell her best friend that she's leaving in no more than a week to Malibu if she's making her upset by just mentioning something she knows that might hurt her? She closed her eyes and leaned her forehead on the windshield. She would really miss her best friend  and Dean but sometimes she doesn't know whether they are there to make her happy or to keep her down.

"Hey. I really am sorry.I'll make it up to you." Sasha squeezed her shoulder again, glancing in her direction and drifting her eyes back to the road.

"Really? What then?" Savannah snapped her head to her left where Sasha is grimacing at her.

"You weren't mad at me where you?" She asked Savannah who was smiling sweetly at her. Sasha sighed and muttered something like wanting to be a good friend and ended up spending her allowance which Savannah looked at her guiltily. She just can't stand on being mad at her friend who completes her day.

When Sasha pulled up and shut the engine off,Savannah grabbed her bag and climbed out of Sasha's car. She waited for her friend patiently while scanning the crowd. She saw Mike Myers, one of Aaron's friend, goofing around with some of his team mates. She heard him say something and his company laughed. It made her smile, how these people doesn't care about Aaron and Ashley's "relationship" even though one of them is Aaron's closest friend.

Speaking of Aaron, Savannah saw his black Porsche pulled up just a few rows in front of her. She craned her neck and stand on her toes as she tries to see a better view of him, which she can't because of the people who was passing and stopping in front of her. She groaned in irritation and came alittle bit closer, standing on her toes again.Ahh there he is she thought. Sunglasses on, smirking lips and tousled hair all in one place. He said "Hi" to the people who greeted him, making his way to Mike and company. They all exchanged fist pumps and high fives.

"So did you do the homework...." Sasha trailed off as she saw Savannah's fixed gaze on Aaron.

She made a tssk sound and walked around her car to Savannah's side.She shoved her hard on her shoulder and gave Savannah a smirk.

"Hey! what was that for?" Savannah looked at Sasha weirdly as she straightened her pose. 

I don't know about you really. He has a girlfriend OK? I'm sorry but maybe it's true. It's just a maybe tho. I mean cmon ,Sav. There's a lot of guys to choose from seriously." Sasha said,giving her exasperating looks.

Savannah sighed and looked back at the direction of Aaron who was joking around with Mike. Aaron yanked Mike's shirt and started to ruffle his hair which Savannah knows, annoys Mike. Mike playfully punched Aaron on the gut which made Aaron to grunt and release his hold on his friend. Savannah wished that someday she could be like them. Those people who just laughed and ignores the people who are gawking at them.

She bit her lip as she saw Ashley's familiar platinum blonde hair. She groaned and looked at her in irritation. Her stilletos click clacking on the ground, her minions trailing behind.

Arie Livione, red hair and baby like, is writing something on her....diary? Savannah snorted.

 Really? A girl like her keeps a diary?  Savannah thought, shaking her head.

There's Carrie Sanders, whose father is a millionaire and definitely a successful businessman. Savannah thought on how they spend those wad of cash. She made a face and looked at Ashley who was scowling at Mike.

"What the fuck are you doing to my boyfriend?"  She heard her say. She was clinging to Aaron's shirt like a leech.

"Me and your boyfriend are just having fun." Mike said, wiggling his eyebrows.

Ashley smacked her bag onto Mike's head, giving him an icy stare.

"Hey it's not my fault you have a malicious mind." He gave her a look that says fuck-off-stupid-bitch.

Ashley shrugged and cupped Aaron's face between her hands.

"Babe, are you ok? Did that asshole hurt you?" Ashley asked the now amused Aaron.

"Yeah I'm fine." He said giving her a slight smile. Ashley sighed in relief and kisssed him.

Savannah thinks that she would vomit any minute now so she looked away and started going to the entrance of the school.

great now she's having a bad day.
