He stood in front of his apartment door, unsure if he should enter. Yes, it was his own apartment, but he was nervous about what was waiting for him on the inside. He sighed and opened the door slowly, switching the light on as he entered. He saw Jungkook slowly opening his eyes, lying on the couch. As he closed the door behind him and got closer to the couch, he noticed how shitty Jungkook looked. His face was swollen, his eyes red, his lips all bit up. He sat down next to his feet, looking between his legs. He did not dare look at Jungkook any longer, he could sense what was about to happen.

"I'm scared," Jungkook whispered.

Taehyung closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Of course he was. Why would he have thought otherwise? Jungkook was special, yes, but he was normal. This was what always happened. Taehyung was used to it. Whenever people found out, they were scared, they would start panicking and calling him names. He could already hear the word "monster" roll off of Jungkook's tongue, the word too familiar to him. Not only did he know, but he watched him do it. That must have been... terrifying to him. He saw what no one else had ever seen. Taehyung being himself; being the monster that he was. He looked to the side, noticed Jungkook's tear-filled eyes. "Here we go again" he thought to himself, his shoulders stiff, ready to pounce.

"I'm scared by how unbothered I am by it," he mumbled, looking down at his knotted fingers.

Taehyung swallowed and frowned.

"What?" he said, not believing what was happening.

Jungkook sniffled and took a deep breath, his eyes shooting across the room, as if looking for words to explain what he could not.

"It was... mesmerizing," he replied, finally looking into Taehyung's eyes.

No. Impossible. Taehyung got up, mad.

"Don't you fucking lie to me," he spat.

Jungkook sat up straight, still looking into his eyes.

"I don't want to believe it either, but I am saying the truth," he blurted out. "I don't... I don't get it... but I'm not scared of you Taehyung. You were beautiful."

Taehyung shook his head, taking a few steps back. He laughed. He smiled. He frowned.

"No. No, no, no, no," Taehyung mumbled to himself.

He took his head between his hands, his lip shivering. He was dreaming. This could not be happening. Jungkook was afraid, he was sure of it. The look on his face. Fear. Nothing else. He has to kill him. He has to. He will tell everyone he is a monster. No one could ever believe he was not a monster. All his life that was what he had heard. Jungkook was lying to get on his good side, he knew that. He did not want to die, and Taehyung could see through all his lies. Jungkook got up, his hands in front of him, as if apprehending a wild beast.

"Taehyung..." Jungkook whispered, putting his hand on his shoulder.

"Get off of me!" Taehyung yelled, his hands shakily pushing him off. "You're scared... Don't lie to me..."

Jungkook put his hands on his shoulders again, Taehyung pushed him off.

"I said get off! Get the fuck out! You fucking liar!" he screamed, his voice cracking.

Jungkook watched as the madness unraveled inside of Taehyung's mind, clenching at his heart. His screaming had turned to crying, his once confident posture now seemed like a scared animal, trying to escape from his prey.

"Tae... please..." Jungkook begged, wanting to calm him down.

Taehyung screamed and grabbed him by the neck, pushing him on the kitchen counter. Jungkook stopped himself with his hands before he hurt himself, then pounced back on Taehyung, grabbing him by the collar and pushing him up against the wall. He felt Taehyung's tears fall on his hands, his warm and shaky breath brushing against his face. Taehyung gave in, exhausted, sobbing.
