Another round of failure.

It's been days, no, weeks since I lost my job. I kept looking around for other jobs but it's just too tough. I would've been working in a café already, seeing how unlucky I was at getting a new job. But every single night I look at Niel, the stray cat, I couldn't help but feel sadness in its eyes. It felt like my responsibility to help him, and so I needed money.

"How did it go?" Youngmin called me, knowing that I had an interview.

"The usual."

"Wanna have a cup of coffee? I'm treating."

"Free coffee? Can't say no to that."

Youngmin, my childhood bestie. He was the only one I could trust, other than his beloved boyfriend. He knows how grumpy I can get when I fail another round of interview, so he tries his best to cheer me up, or else I would be the one to bite him.

"No I love you more...." I looked up from my laptop, meeting with a cringey-ass man talking to his boyfriend.

"Can you not."

"Sorry babe, I'll call you back later. Someone's grumpy. Hmm? Yeah he failed again, okay love you." He hung up the call and looked at me.

"Still can't find one?" He took the laptop away from me and spun it to his side.

"Why are you searching for jobs for accountants? I thought you majored in arts?"

"I heard accountants make the most money."

"Why are you so desperate for money anyways? Did you get yourself a girlfriend or something?" I saw him closing all the tabs and was met with a picture of a cat.

"Since when did you like cats?"

"It's not mine, it's a stray cat, and it's just soooooo cute. I took pictures of it everyday. Wanna see?" I shove my phone into his face, showing him my gallery which was full of Niel.

"You're crazy. You remind me of the crazy cat lady next door. But, it seems like you're not moody anymore, so it's time for me to leave and go home."

"You wanna see him that badly?"

"I always wanna see my Donghyun baby."

Time to see Niel~

I prepared to cross the road until I saw an old lady coming from the other side, when the traffic light was red.

There was a car going her way.

"MA'AM GET OUT OF THE WAY!" I tried my best to shout at her but she couldn't hear me.

What was I supposed to do? Think Seongwu think.....

THERE'S NO TIME FOR ME TO THINK THE FUCKING CAR IS GONNA RUN HER OVER!!!!

I ran as fast as my legs could work and pushed her out of the way. We both ended up falling onto the sidewalk. I got a few scratches but I quickly stood up and rushed to the old lady.

She was my main priority.

"Are you okay ma'am?" I helped her to stand up.

"Ah yes yes..." She looked at me in awe.

"Thank you handsome young man, for saving me. Is there anything I can do to repay you?" I yelped in pain when she held my hand which was slightly injured.
