|The Wedding|

4 years later

Melissa's POV:

I was getting ready when  i thought, this is finally the time i can be called Mrs. Lockheart, this is the moment where we are gonna be together forever, well i hope.

Staring at my reflection and running my hands down my zinc colored dress was something I never expected to be doing, I didn't thought I would be getting married, ever. This is crazy, I just hope Dan is as excited as I am, I would die if he said he didn't wanted to marry me anymore, or he doesn't feel that connection anymore, I would go insane, but yeah, I am Melissa Crossedheart and I'm getting married to the most handsome man ever, Dan Silverstone.

Dan's POV:

"WOOOOOOO, my little bro is getting married!" My brother Jake yelled at the top of his lungs while grabbing me harshly by my shoulders and started messing with hair, just rubbing it with his fist and turning it into a mess.

"But I'm older than you.." I told him while giving him an annoyed look, just because he messed up my hair which took a while to comb, what? I wanna look good for Melissa in our wedding day, Oh god just thinking of it makes me nervous.

Jake stood still for a while, then replied with "Oh right, I knew that" and then let me go.

I laughed at him and then took a look in the mirror, while fixing my black tie and straightening my tousled suit i thought about how's Melissa doing, maybe getting ready?

Or maybe writing her vows? Or perhaps thinking about me just like I'm thinking about her?

She is beautiful I thought and gave my suit one last glance then got ready for the moment I've been waiting all my life since I asked Melissa to marry me, I still remember that day and it was exactly 4 years ago, it still scares me till this day the thought of getting married, but as long as I have her with me, I'll always be okay.

Jake's POV:

I am so happy to see my big bro getting all old and ready to create a life with his wonderful wife, Melissa.

But I can't wait also for this event to be over so i can eat.

Yes, food.

Melissa's POV:

I was making sure everything was good, when i heard a soft knock on the door

"Melissa honey, it's all ready, now, are you too?"

I took a glance at the mirror and all the possible thoughts that something might go wrong came into my head, but soon those thoughts were invaded by the good ones, i gave a big sigh and with that i step out outside and wait for Dan's grandfather to walk me down the aisle.

"You look beautiful, Melissa"

I smile and whisper to him, "thank you, also thank you for walking me down the aisle, you are a great man, Frank" i told him while giving him a smile

"Oh Melissa, i always dreamt of walking one of my daughters down the aisle but since i never had one, just sons, it is my pleasure to walk you down the aisle, i would do anything for both of you, since my wife passed away i have been terrible and hated happiness, now after seeing you on this dress and Dan over there waiting for you looking all smiley, i do believe in happiness." He finished but i could see a hint of a tear on the corner of his eyes.

"Thank you so much, Frank" I told him and gave him a kiss on the cheek when we arrived at our destiny, he gave me a small grin and passed me to Dan then left back to seat next to my Mom who was looking very teary, aw.

I sent her a kiss and quickly took Dan's hand in mine which was kinda warm, then the priest proceeded to open the ceremony and bless everybody in the room, after that i could just hear the priest say "Now, it's time for the groom and it's wife to say the vows they each prepared for each other"

Faint claps could be heard, but i was focused on Dan, "Melissa, you are truly a great woman, and even though I can't see you with my eyes i know you are beautiful, the way you are with me, with other people, you just represent the woman i have been waiting for all.my.life, and if i could wish for something right now, it would be to see you on this beautiful dress right now looking stunning as always, i love you and i hope you want to stay forever with me just like i want you forever my by side." Dan finished his vow looking directly into my eyes, making me believe he could actually see me, but i know he really can't, he just knows me well.

"Now Melissa, your turn to say the vow you prepared" the priest told me while holding his bible with such care. I nodded then turned my view to my soon-to be-husband, "Dan, I can't believe this day has come, i remember the day we met like it was hours ago, now we are getting married, seeing you so strong after all the losses you have suffered makes me feel proud, and taking your hand right now makes me have memories of the time when you proposed to me, it was one of the best days of my life, but the best day of my life will be having you by my side forever, i love you so much and i wanna have kids with you, i want them to know how in love i am with you, and i hope you now that i wanna get to spend the rest of my life with you as much as you do" i finished with happy tears in my eyes and i could just see them falling from Dan's eyes too even with my blurry vision.

"Alright, now that everything's set and done, you may kiss the bride" the priest finished that with a smile full of glee.

Dan proceeded to take my hand and pull me to him but not before whispering, "I love you Melissa Lockheart" then planted a nice and long kiss on my lips.

After that, i quickly whispered back "I love you Dan Silverstone"

Its over guys i know, im really gonna miss writing this book even though it took me a lot of time to write chapters cause i had lots of writers block, but would love for you to tell me what did you thought about this book?

The characters, your favorite moment, and if you want a possible sequel comment down below so i can think about it.

I'm probably gonna write an epilogue but im not sure.

Ps: Thanks for keeping up with this story after months of not updating, i love you and I'm sorry but as i said i was busy with exams and i had a lot of writers block but somehow my chapters always end up bad lol, anyways love you and thank you!
