KYLE POV

Dear Diary,

It's been a week I am here at Santa Monica. Next week I will enrolled into a University nearby. I don't know what I should even feel. Excited?

Last night I was at a bar. Alone. Of course my brothers doesnt know. They are too protective and I am getting sick of that. Maybe I will try to get into a dormitory too. That would give me some space, right?

Back to the bar.

I feel I could have some drinks, that strong enough so then I could forget all these pain, but then the bartender was so gentleman and yet annoying, I think he is hitting on me. haha.

I argue with him to give me something strong, but he pretend to be deaf. Oh how frustrating. I growl and argue, before he give me a drink.

He said it was strong enough for me. Well I guess it is what he said. The bar was too loud.

Haha. He think he would fool me. That was not strong at all!!

I can still drive home, but you know the end.

Of course my brothers find out!

urgh!
now I am grounded.

I chuckled lightly shutting off the black book and put it in my backpack. Not long after, I frowned. There are somebodies hitting on her, and yet she ignored.

I smiled. She is waiting for me all these times. She ran, but she still waiting for me. So, it is true what Angeline say the other day. She shutting herself out of the world. She doesn't even enjoy herself , hanging around or going out with someone.

I feel special. I still can hope, perhaps.

The flight touched down almost at dawn. Going out of the airport, I was greeted by the chill morning air of Cardiff. It was not long before I step my foot here, going out of the country, and now I come back. It just for a while though. I have a wedding to attend.

Arriving home, I freshen up and go out of the house to our neighbourhood. I drove past a park to a mart to fetch some groceries for the week.

I am walking down the beverages aisle when I see Stephanie and her daughter past by me.

“Papa!” her daughter called me. I smiled widely walking fast to the little girl.

“Hey sunshine,” I hugged her and give her cheeks a kiss. She giggled happily.

“Hey, Nick. How's the flight?” Stephanie greet. I shrugged and tickle the little one. She giggled even more.

“Its fine. I just got here this morning.” I follow her to the checkout counter.

“Right, so how about some coffee?” she ask.

“Sounds nice.”

“So, wants to hang out with papa today?” I ask the little one while pretending to tickle her again. She giggled running away to her mother’s back. I chased her grabbing her by the waist and carry her to my car.

“....and I don't know where else to find her except the address her friend gave to me.” I said finishing my story to Stephanie. She nodded.

“So, are you going there?” she ask.

“Maybe, or maybe not. I don't know what to do either. I am just afraid she might run away again. I am just so tired of chasing her.”  I said, stirring my hot coffee.

“Hey, don't say that.” she said, holding my hand on the table. I looked up at her. I know she will say something to comfort me. I just know she will support me in whatever I needed right now.

“You know Nick. Love is not just by sitting here and mourning over your lost. It is to not give up of any hope and chance you ever get to reach for the one you love. Never give up.” she continue. I keep silence.

“ I have found my love because I don't give up. He come back even though he half believe that Emily was her daughter. But I believe in love. Love that bring us together……” she said but stop mid sentence. Her eyes look outside the window but she is smiling anyways.

“Yes Steph. But she kept running away. She doesn't even wait for my explanation.” I sighed. I am so frustrated that even hope and wishes seems blurry and hard to get.

She keep smiling and hold my hand, again.

“I will help you.”

I lay on my bed thinking of what Stephanie said earlier.

‘Never give up on love.’

“Yeah, right.” I said rolling over on my bed, facing the night stand. There I see the black book by the table lamp.

I grab the book, sitting against the headboard and open the latest pages I have read.
