So, yeah, this is the 1st chapter. I really hope you'll like it. And if you don't, please go easy on the comments.

I was standing in front of my locker on a breezy January morning when I saw him. He was walking normally like a normal seventeen-year-old boy would. Of course, he’s never been remotely close to normal but I’ll get to that part later. And don’t worry; he’s not some lame-ass sparkly vampire.
Anyway, he was walking with his back straight and his left hand swayed lightly by his side; his right carried a semi-heavy hardbound copy of Introduction to American History. Honestly, I never really understood the reason why the book was categorized as an introduction when it had almost 800 pages.
The boy I was talking about before all this book introduction nonsense started was now only 10 lockers away from me. When I first laid eyes on him, no name accompanied his face in the directory of my mind. Of course, this was rarely a surprise back then because I was new in town.
In all of our lives, we experience this sacred ritual. This can be compared to the likes of Proms or Graduations. This is called The New Girl/Boy Experience. It is a very important chapter of a person in their lives that they must encounter. It can be cruel or exciting, but mostly cruel. We must venture into the world of a new house, a new school, new classes and the most enduring of them all…new people. There have been some new girls and boys here in Lakewood High School but, unfortunately, I am still in The New Girl phase.
I moved in from Wichita, Kansas to the small town of Preston Hollow here in Dallas, Texas. I lived with my grandmother until I was fifteen because she took me from my parents. Okay, you might think that my grandmother is just pretending to be my grandmother and is a psycho who steals babies but, I assure you, she is not. She is just an old sweet lady who loved her granddaughter so much that she took her under her wing and substituted her for her own daughter who has a family of her own.
My grandmother and my mother are very close but the whole 16 and pregnant situation my mother was in eighteen years ago really took a tool in their relationship. My mother doesn’t really know about my grandmother’s feelings about her being pregnant at sixteen because when that happened, Nana just turned into the best mother of all time and looked past her daughter’s situation and accepted her.
After Adam, my oldest brother, my mom got pregnant again while she was 18 with Charlie. It wasn’t really an accident since my parents were already married when they were 17. I have no idea, really, what my mother was thinking, having five children in the span of eight years. She always says “Life is short so it must be lived”. Nana doesn’t necessarily hate that saying of my mother’s but she sure doesn’t like it when it comes to rash decisions.
Now, you must be wondering why I’m here now. Nana, along with Grandpa, and my parents all went to Lakewood High. Adam and Charlie went there, too, and now Bennett and Dan are there. So Nana wanted me to continue my life here at Preston Hollow along with my family while she and Grandpa stayed in Kansas. I tried to convince them to move with us at Preston Hollow but, according to Grandpa, there were people there that they didn’t want to see. If I had been living in one town for the past 50 years, I’d also agree with them.
You would expect me to return to the tale of the aforementioned sixteen-year-old boy but this is the reason why I’m saying all of these things. I’m the semi-New Girl, I have four older (famous) brothers and this is my story.
