"Make sure to clutch the ladder! I'll be crippled for days if you don't!" Jisoo said while making her way onto the moderate elevated ladder. She was going to attach the streamer for the coming lantern festival of Hong In Island.

A soft 'hmm' escaped from Taehyung's mouth. He was busy looking around-the stalls were so finely colorful, kids, teens, and adults were busy on having fun.

The relaxing silence all over the place fell apart when a rumbling was suddenly heard.

"DONGHUN, COME HERE YOU WRETCH!" A fat middle-aged woman continuously threw empty beer bottles, aiming to hit the frightened man.

The people on the street that they've been passing through gave them way, and at the same time, they seemed afraid of the furious woman.

The woman kept on throwing the beer bottles-she wouldn't be satisfied as long as she won't hit the man. Unfortunately, the two reached near Taehyung and Jisoo's place where a flying bottle flew on their direction.

"Watch out, Tae---AAAAAAAAAAH!" Jisoo shrieked upon slipping-Taehyung looked up with wide eyes. He unknowingly stretched his arms, attempting to catch the falling girl.

A slam befell the street. The two were pinned across by the ladder, especially Jisoo who was on the top.

--

"Mrs. Kim, I'm really sorry." The woman did several 90 degree bows to Grandma Jikyung.

"I'm sorry, Miss Jisoo. I was the reason why you got hurt." The man beside the woman apologised to Jisoo who was lying on a clinic bed.

"It's okay. Just promise me Mister that you're going to change for your wife," Jisoo glanced at the woman before continuing. "And of course, for your children also."

The man hurriedly nodded and looked at her wife. "Yes, I promise."

After the couple left peacefully, the clinic was bombarded with Jisoo's whine.

"Grandma, I wanna go home pleaseee~" Jisoo blinked her eyes, hoping her charm would work on her Grandma.

"Are you sure that you're really feeling well?"

"Of course!"

"Okay, fine. But you and Taehyung can go first because we still need to sort out some things." Grandma replied then exhanged glances at the two.

Taehyung supported Jisoo by holding her left arm. Jisoo was still hurt but lied on being fine because she really hates the smell of clinics and hospitals.

Jisoo was startled when Taehyung stopped walking-he hastily positioned himself at the front of Jisoo then squatted.

"Hey! What are you-"

"Piggy back." Jisoo's mouth formed an o upon the boy's reply.

Jisoo coyly smiled before riding on Taehyung's back. She was surprised by this soft side of him.

"Am I heavy?" Jisoo asked when Taehyung started stepping.

"I can manage though." The boy awkwardly answered which made Jisoo pout. Taehyung just really hated lies so he, himself is truthful for everything he says.

"I know a shortcut so your back won't hurt because of me." Jisoo said with a twisted face but then, she loved the boy's honesty.

'Forest of Fate'.

"Isn't it fascinating?" Taehyung silently nodded to the amused girl's question regarding the alluring place.

"I already went around the island except this place," Jisoo dreamily roamed her eyes around the forest.

"I didn't know that this was this exquisite." Taehyung was also gaping around with awe.

"They say passing here with a one certain person makes your fates tangle forever." Jisoo uttered with a small sigh.

"But that's just a michievous hearsay!"

He also thinks that the hearsay was absurd but, who knows? Maybe their fates will knot the other way than what they expect to be.
