The World of Miror and Lost Sword

1. Goblet with Cover

In the world of Miror, people had recently achieved peace but a wise one fears that it will end soon or later.

A small family is having breakfast. There is a round wooden table and there is four chairs. Two of it is empty and two of it is occupied by a mother and her child.

"Mother, Now can you tell me where Hugo has went?" asked Edmund.

Hugo Bonum is the eldest son of Arthur Bonum and Arya Bonum. They have another son named Edmund Bonum. Hugo was absent from the house since 3 days before. It seemed like parents werenot worrying about Hugo in eyes of Edmund. They didn't even tell him where his elder brother was.

"I don't know dear,"Arya replied with a smile.

"Of Course you know,otherwise you would've been sick by worrying,"said Edmund with feeling of impatience. Nobody in the house told him where his brother had gone. This really irritated Edmund.

Edmund was a 12 years old boy who had just recently celebrated his birthday. His brother was with him during the celebration but the next morning he had went away without telling Edmund anything.

"Now don't try to be clever,did you read your books for the entrance to secondary level," asked Arya with anger in her face. In Miror the schooling life is different. 7 years of time children stay in primary level in which subjects like english,maths,science and so on are taught. Then next 6 years is called secondary year in which they study advanced subjects very useful to people in Miror. They move into bigger school which is run by Government of Miror.

Edmund turned away and tried to finish his milk. He hated studying and his mother looked angry enough. So he thought better not to ask more about Hugo. But this still troubled him. He went to his room and lay down at his bed. There could be seen various books in the table. It looked like for the preparation for entrance. He was looking at the ceiling hoping to stop his mind from thinking about Hugo. He told himself that Hugo was already 18 years and must be in some errand as even his parents weren't afraid. This gave him somewhat relief in his mind. But he could feel fear in his body and something bad is gonna happen. He just doesnot know what and thinks its just another thought created by overthinking of his brother. He quickly goes to his table to study so that he can divert his mind.He doesnot realize and falls asleep. Then he is woken by the slamming of the door.It seems to be have come from the main door.He quickly gets up from his chair and goes to see who has came. Then he saw his father with carrying a goblet with very tense face.

His father and mother were sitting in the table. Their face looked very tense and scared. They seemed to be speaking in very low voice which made Edmund unable to hear anything. The goblet was in the table. It had a cover in top of it. It looked pretty valuable and design seems to be special too. So Edmund thought it must have been some expensive gift to his father as his father was a officer in Government of Minora. He was always getting gifts from many people. But Edmund couldn't explain the strange faces in his parents face. He just couldnot control his curiosity of the goblet. Instead of hiding in the kitchen,he went inside and asked,"Dad,what is that?"  pointing to the goblet. "Oh come on it is a goblet,"replied his father without looking at his face. "Then why are u-" Before Edmund could finish his sentence. His mother shouted "Get back to your room now, its not good to meddle in elders work", shouted Arya with anger and fear. "But-"Edmund tried to argue but was again stopped by his mother. "Go now"shouted Arya. He gave look at his father whose face seemed like saying agree your mother's order. He gave a look at the goblet with frustration and got away from the room. At his room he was full of anger as many things were hidden from him.

Later during the dinner time,all the three members were quiet. They didnot talk to eachother.It seemed like there was air of tension roaming there. Edmund could feel it.He looked fear in his parents face while eating. He could feel something is coming.He could see the goblet at the top of the cupboard as if it had some secret. Then suddenly a puppet of a parrot in the living room cried. A voice of old man was heard
