Chapter 3

~Namjoon's POV

Thirty Minutes Prior

He's called too soon

The blast sends his body flying towards a construction scaffolding. He hits it hard and his body crumples to the ground, I rush too him pulling him over my back.

I look down the alleyway, or what now was an alleyway; the buildings have collapsed, metal scaffolding and bricks litter the scene, fire consumes the whole of it even in this pouring rain. I see figures dart between the curtains of flames, their cries fill the air.

As much as I hate having to watch them suffer it's really for the better

"We should take them somewhere safer, REIGN soldiers are still here, we can't risk getting spotted like this." Jin says as he wraps a cotton bandage around Yoongi's bleeding torso.

"Will you be able to walk?" Jin asks Yoongi, he nods slowly picking himself up, clutching his newly bandaged torso, which is now stained with more blood.

The other members lay on the ground, Taehyung and Jungkook being the only unconscious ones.

"Jin, you can take Jungkook, I'll take V." I say handing over Jungkook to Jin setting him on his shoulders. I bend down taking the unconscious Taehyung while Yoongi and Jimin hobble close behind leaning on their weapons with their injured legs.

"J, prioritise with finding medical attention for the others, travel via the rooftops keep a low-profile, we will be traveling in a westerly direction. Over."

"Over." Hobi responds,

Hopefully heading this way we won't bump into any soldiers, if they see us like this, we're good as dead

Yoongi coughs and blood spills from his mouth. He takes a hand wiping it away.

"Yoongi are you sure you can walk?" Jin asks again.

He has taken five bullets in total, one of them resting somewhere in his abdomen and another in his rib cage, Jin checked him before confirming none of the organs had been pierced, thank god, but a small section of his rib cage has been shattered. I don't even know how he's still alive, let alone conscious and walking.

~Twenty Minutes later

We have been walking through these endless alleyways for 20 minutes, Yoongi has passed out not long ago, possibly from blood loss, I was beginning to think his ghost was following us.

Now Jin and I balance three unconscious members between the two of us, while Jimin limps behind.

The rain still pours and everyone is soaked, cold, and hurting.

At least it offers some cover and we won't have to worry about blood trails as the passageways are practically flooded, showing some resemblance to that flooded Italian city.

Venice, was it?

"Namjoon, are you there?" A voice says in my earpiece.

"Still alive J, found anything?"

"There is a small corner café 400 meters directly straight from you. I've seen people walk in with injuries and walk out bandaged, only several times though. Dr. Chan is a viable option but he's still 1 hour away and that's just by car."

With Yoongi's state, I don't think I could last more than an hour, we either take the café or risk taking him to Chan with Jin's aid we might be able to make it, but we have no transport...

"I'll take my chances with the café, and J, how's the situation with the RAIN soldiers?"

"Still active, 40 minutes away or so from your location, looks like the elites have arrived. They're looking for you."

"Set some bombs off to divert their attention, maybe several clicks east in the non-residential section to minimise loss of life. We will meet you at the café, if no medical attention is there, I'll need you to come back to hijack a car to take to Chan's, expect a call in five minutes for confirmation, over."

"Over."

Jin and I simultaneously quicken our speed, and so does Jimin. Through the rain, a small neon light of a coffee cup becomes visible, there I can make out a figure opening the door. Yoongi whom is on top of Jin's back still unconscious, coughs again drawing more blood from his mouth.

Jinwho sees the figure as well shouts out. "Is there anyone there, help!"
