~~~Jiraiya's POV~~~

I soon came back to visit my village sweet village after doing my research for my book.
As I was walking to my student's house, I couldn't help but feel that something was off about the village. It was... eerily quiet for a change and it was raining heavily which was pissing me off.
" Kami, Stop pissing on my village!" I yelled to the sky. This was really annoying.
As I walked through the door, which was surprisingly open, all I saw was three people crying their hearts out. Minato was hugging Kushina who was crying a river. Naruko was just sitting in the corner crying, sitting under a puddle of tears.
"What's happened?" I said darkly. SHIT! Naruto wasn't there!
"Narut- he died today with t-three tails and now N-Naruko can't have the f-full power of the K-Kyuubi!" Kushina sobbed.
"However, His body wasn't found. We think this h-has to do with the Akatsuki" Minato said. THESE BASTARDS! They weren't crying because Naruto died, Its's because he took the three tails of the kyuubi with him?!
*double slap sounds*
"Minato... I expected more from you... YOUR SON has just DIED and all you care about is the three tails he carrieD? You should have just joined Akatsuki if you turned out like this. You are no longer the man I used to know as my student!" I said before leaving to find my godson's body.
They had a shocked expression on their faces before they continued crying even more than before.

~~~ 3 and a bit years later~~~
~~~3rd Person POV~~~
After 3 years of searching, a familiar man with grey hair and weird make-up walked into the wild-west looking bar. He gave a glance all around until he came towards a certain man with bodyguards.
"Are you the man they call Gato?" The Toad Sannin asked.
"depends, who wants to know?" The man replied putting his glass down.
"Just an old grandpa who's looking for his Godson's body" He replied.
"Oh come on, don't bore me with your stupid antics, Jiraiya of the Sannin. You came looking for Naruto-sama didn't you and ah yes he reminded me to tell you he isn't dead."
Gato said while looking a bit tipsy.
Jiraiya just had a shocked expression on his face while he quickly fumbled for his Wallet. If his godson was alive, he needs to know where.
"Hah. Keep your money because I will tell you. But let me give you one bit of advice, if you get into a fight with him, Run. Run with all your might , like your arse's on fire because I have seen him wipe out Bandit Villages with a single flick of his wrist. I have seen him go toe to toe with Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki of the Akatsuki, it ended with him killing the fish and severely injuring the Uchiha who fled. He finished with nothing but ripped clothes and the loss of a few hairs." Gato said.
Jiraiya just jawdropped. 'What the fuck has this Child gone through' was all Jiraiya thought.
"Oh and If you want to find him, last I heard, he was in Kumogakure. Said he was looking for a big blue cat or somethin" Gato replied. At this, Jiraiya knew what Gato mean't but little did he know that Gato was keeping something else from him...
With that Gato returned to his drink while the Toad Sage walked out of the bar.

After a week of travelling from that bar, Jiraiya finally reached the gates of the Kumogakure.
