The summer of 2015, I was going on a camping trip with a church group. I walked in the doors of the church to sign in and gather everything I needed, right after I hop onto the bus sitting next to my friend. There was a girl sitting on the seat right behind mine and I thought she was cute. My friend knew her and he turned around starting to chatter things up with her. I had nothing else to do and I thought that I should step out of my comfort zone and join the conversation to try to get to know her.

The next day at camp, I saw her and decided to say hi. She said hi back but she looked like as if she isn't down to talk to somebody like me. I didn't know what to do besides to leave her alone. I thought to myself, if she wanted to talk to me, she would've wanted me to stay so that we are able to have a conversation.

By the end of camp, I was thinking on the bus on the way back. Why would someone perfect like her want to be with someone like me anyways? I thought about it and decided to just leave it alone.
