Cora frowned and shifted in her chair. "What?" She questioned again."It isn't a really bad problem honey... at the moment." Her mum put Cora's plate in the stink as she had finished.
"Will it be soon?"
Her mum really wasn't ready to scare her daughter about her money problems. At first when her dad left she was ok. The money was still rolling in as normal, but them she missed a payment on the house and it started from there.
"Mum?" Cora asked, looking worried.
"No sweetie, i won't let that happen to us."

I stood up and walked over to my mum, giving her a hug. We both needed that. Although we haven't had a fight in a while, i could see she wasn't happy. My phone buzzed and i felt my mum loosen her grip from around me.
"Thank you," she mumbled before speaking louder, "i'm going back to bed C. I really don't feel well."
I nodded and sat back down, unlocking my phone.
Hey x

E: E? I like it
I smiled and started typing.

I smirked and shut off my phone. Is it sad that i'm proud of myself for actually talking to someone? Even if it wasn't face to face?

Cora got up and went up stairs, it was 2:00pm and she decided watching some youtube would entertain her for a while.//time skip to 6:00pm//
Cora sat up, frowning after she saw the time. Four hours of youtube? She shrugged, not feeling bad and made her way to she small closet , picking out a oversize hoodie and ripped jeans.
After she had put them on, she left her phone on the side, not wanting anything to do with social media for the rest of the day.
Her mum still wasn't up so she left a note saying she had gone for a walk and left the house, locking the door behind her.

It was even colder than before, not that i was complaining. The sun had set and it was definitely the best time to chill and think about life. Are we really struggling with money? I guess we are and that means i need to do my part.I didn't have my phone so i had to remember to ring my part time job to see if i could work more.
There was nobody about tonight which i thought was weird. Usually there are many people rushing around. It was a shame nobody was about really. I liked to overthink about their lives and what they did and how they got to where they were.
I wonder what people thought of me. I cringed and stuffed my hands into my pockets. Look at me. A small, lonely girl walking the city streets at 6:30pm at night. A bit weird? Maybe. Maybe not.

As Cora kept thinking, she didn't realise a group of men had been following her. They had said nothing but were walking quickly to stay near her as she wondered around the streets. She finally turned and instantly regretted it as she saw the men. Taking her hands out from her pockets, she stopped, checking if they would do the same. Cora starting walking a little faster, trying not to run, even thought she wanted to. She managed to get home safe but she was still shaken up from the scene she was just in.

I need sleep, i thought as i unlocked the front door, running in and turning to shut it and lock it as fast as i could, scared the men were behind me. I started for the stairs and pulled off my shoes on the way, leaving them throw in the hall.My light was still on as i left it before by mistake and i changed as fast as i could and jumped into bed.
I checked my phone 10:00pm. Wow. I hadn't realised how long i was out.
I need sleep, my brain seemed to tell me again so i plugged my phone into the charger, turned over to face the window and listened to the scratching silence in my ears. I sighed. "Long nights, strange men."
