The Next Morning...
Laney and I were hanging out in our living room. There was a knock on the front door.
"I'll get it," I said as I got up. I opened the door and it was Christian.
"Hey," he said, smiling.
"Hey," I said. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to ask you something."
I walked outside on the front porch and shut the door. "What is it?"
"Well we all know that you and Steven are just 'best friends' right now, and you and I both declared our love for each other yesterday morning after the fight."
"Yeah?"
"And I was wondering." His eyes changed from brown to golden yellow. "Would you be my girlfriend?" He put his warm hand on my cheek.
I smiled as my eyes changed from brown to orange. I kissed him and said, "Of course I will." I kissed him again.
Later That Night...
A teenage boy was taking a walk near the park where the fight was. He walked into the old rusty building and found a red beanie. He picked it up.
"Oh, you didn't think this was it, did you?" he said. "I have to find the girl who lost this beautiful beanie so she can be with me!"
He ran off to find the one who lost the red beanie.
