L.A. Baby- Grayson Dolan

It's been a week since our cliff diving adventures. Ethan, Grayson, Maddy and I have gotten together a couple times for lunch or just to hang out. I've seen rumors all over social media but I don't pay much attention to them. Maddy and I rented a house here in Australia and it happens to be right around the corner from where the twins and their friend, Bryant, rented theirs. It's about 8:45am  right now so I grab my phone and scroll through the endless amounts of pictures of Gray and E. I didn't really know much about them so I followed a bunch of fan accounts for them to enhance my knowledge a bit. I decide I should probably get up and go check on Maddy's progress in waking up. I walk down the hall of the house to May's room.

"May are you up yet?" I say knocking on the door.

There's no response so I open the door slightly so I can see inside.

"Ugh Kat can you not. I'm tryna sleep." She moans.

"Sorry M. We gotta meet the twins at their house in an hour so get up and try to look somewhat presentable." I laugh as I kick the door fully open.

I walk back to my room and into my closet. I pick out a velvet pair of pastel pink shorts and a white tee-shirt. I walk into the bathroom that's connected to my room and I turn on the shower. I undress and wait until the steam fogs up the mirror before I get in. I wash my hair really quickly and I get out, dry off, and put on my lotion within fifteen minutes. I blow dry my brown curls and pull them into a ponytail. I put on my outfit and head out to the kitchen. Maddy is in the shower so I make some toast and take a bite. It's about half an hour later before Maddy comes out of the bathroom. She doesn't say much but grabs a bunch of food and takes it to the couch.

"Are you almost ready to go?" I ask

"Eh. If you wanna go ahead I'll meet you." She says

"I would take you up on the offer if I didn't think you just wouldn't show up." I tell her.

"Probably true. C'mon let's go then." She says standing up.

We walk outside into the warm sun and we turn down the street. It's about a five minute walk to the Twins' house. When we arrive we open up the screen door and walk inside.

"Hey guys welcome back." I hear Grayson yell from the other room.

"Hey stupids. What's up?" I say sitting down on the couch.

"Really nothing. We decided to go to a concert tonight if you two wanna join in." Ethan says walking over to where I'm sitting.

"Sounds fun. I'll consider." Maddy tell them.

"Where's Bry Guy?" I ask Ethan

"Bryant's out taking nature pics." He responds 

"Oh okay. That's nice I guess." I say looking down at my phone.

I scroll through my feed before I feel very uncomfortable. The kind of feeling as though someone's watching me. I glance over to Ethan who's watching me very intently. I smile shyly at him. I'm not really sure what else to do about it.

"Do you guys want food?" Grayson asks.

Ethan looks away to turn around to look at his brother. I feel my cheeks getting warm so I look back down at my phone.

The next couple of hours are very dull. Bryant came back and showed us his photos. We all made  lunch together but other than that, it was uneventful. By now it was almost time for the concert.

"I call shotgun." Maddy says.

"Dang it May! I was gonna call it!" Grayson yells.

"Bryant is the only one that can drive and not get totally mixed up. It's only fair if he chooses his co-pilot." Ethan says grinning at Bryant.

"Well M did call it first." Bryant says shrugging.

"Oh come on!" Gray yells over Maddy's cheers

"Suck on that Dolan!" She laughs walking out the door.

"Guess that means load up gang." I say

"You take middle, Kat." Ethan says putting his arm around me.

"Oh a Dolan sandwich I see." I laugh and I lace my fingers through his.

"I don't wanna be late. Hurry up!" Grayson says taking my hand and dragging me out the door.

Maddy and Bryant are already in the car. I let Gray in before me and then I crawl into the backseat and Ethan follows closely behind me.

"It's about a 45 minute drive there guys so get comfy." Maddy sighs putting her feet on the dash.

Grayson puts his head on my shoulder and I pat his thigh as he begins to fall asleep. I look over at Ethan and he's laughing at something Maddy said. Bryant is smiling to himself while he drives. I take my free hand and grab Ethan's. I give his hand a squeeze and I smile up at him as he smiles back. I lay my head on Ethan's shoulder and he lays his head on top of my and soon enough, we're all asleep.
