"Happy Birthday to youuuuuuu!" the jolly song that everyone knows but is almost never sung in tune ends with a shaky vibrato as my mother blows out the candles. Another party is being held at the Kim household and this time it is my mother's 50th birthday. Although this is a very exciting day for her and of course I got her some flowers and a nice present because I'm a good son, I dread the gathering of almost every person my mom knows. I always get the same monotonous questions that older people deem appropriate to ask to a young adult that they barely associate with, "So do you have a girlfriend?...a job?...your whole life planned out?". It's stressful and out right annoying that I'm expected to share my life story with people who claim to have known me since I was "this big!" The answers to those questions though are, no, kind of, and hell no. I am in a paid internship at a fashion magazine headquarters and I am really trying to get into the industry whichever way it takes me. My future planned out? Uhh, as you can tell by my last answer and at the mere fact that I am 22 years old, not quite. And as far as girls...I don't know. I had the dumb 3rd grade girlfriend back in the day, kissed another for a truth and dare, and had the prom dates. None of them really clicked though...I don't know...I just...I don't know, okay?? Anyways...
