chapter 5:

"Amelia? I thought I was never going to see you again!" Oli said. I was still in shock knowing that he was the friend of Matt's I was going to meet. Oli rushed over and gave me a hug, I hugged back of course breathing in his strong scent of cologne.

"I thought I wasn't going to see you either!" I was so happy at this point I felt like I was going to cry to be honest.

"Well now that I know you guys already know each other, would you guys like to go catch a movie?" Matt suggested.

"I wouldn't mind seeing a movie." Melody answered smiling very cheeky.

"I don't mind either." Oli said. I nodded in agreement.

"Alright then, hope you guys don't mind seeing Now You See Me." Matt said. I didn't mind at all because it was my favorite movie of all time.

As we walked to the movie theaters, Oli and I made very little conversation. On the other hand, Matt and Melody would not stop talking to each other. It's like they forgot we were even here.

"So, have you seen this movie before?" Oli said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ooh yes, it's my favorite movie ever." I said smiling like a little kid. I have to say this is like my tenth time seeing this movie.

"Well it must be an excellent movie then." He said looking down and giving me a sweet smile.

"That would be fourteen dollars." The cashier said. Oli handed him a twenty.

"Oli, I can pay for myself, besides the tickets are only seven dollars." I said.

"Yeah, it's only seven dollars, all the more reason why I should pay." I didn't fight it because I knew I would end up loosing.

We went inside got some popcorn and some candy with drinks. Then we went to go take our seats. Oli was to my left and Melody was on my right while Matt was on Melody's right. The movie began to play and I squealed a bit.

"You ok there?" Oli said while looking down at me and chuckling.

"Perfectly fine." I said calmly.

*********

The movie ended and we exited the theaters.

"I have seen that movie like ten times and it gets better every time I watch it again." I said.

"I have to admit, it was a pretty damn good movie." Oli said while smiling at me.

Melody and Matt agreed and we started walking down the street.

"Anybody up for some linner?" Matt suggested.

"What the hell is linner?" Oli asked.

"A mixture of dinner and lunch obviously." Matt said, attempting to make Oli sound stupid for not knowing what it is. Which didn't really wok since I didn't know what it was and I highly doubt Melody knew what it was either.

We stopped at a hamburger restaurant which looked amazing. I haven't had a hamburger in forever! Ok maybe in like two weeks but that's still a long time for me. The waitress took us to our table, which was right next to the window with a breathtaking view of the city.

"Wow." I whispered under my breath.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Oli said in a hushed voice taking a seat next to me.

"Very." Melody said. I guess I wasn't the only one staring in awe at the beautiful view. Well Matt wasn't, he was looking at the menu like we were looking at the view. We all turned our attention to the menu and ordered our food.

"So how is life guys?" Matt said awkwardly not knowing what to talk about.

"Awesome so far." Melody said giving Matt a little smirk. After they indulged into their own conversation.

"So how's your life Amelia?" Oli said without looking at me grabbing a chip from the basket and eating it.

"Mine is going well, how about you Mr. Oli?" I too gave him a smirk.

"My life could go better but I'm thankful for what I have." He looked up from the table, to Matt and Melody, then to me.

"Why do you say that?" I say looking deeply into his brown eyes.

"I just feel like I should've had better in my past, I know that sounds greedy and shit but I didn't like how my life was back then. Now I am happy with what I got so I'm thankful how my life is, kind of." He smiled at me and looked away. The waiter came with our food and we ate in silence. After eating, we decided that it was time to go.

"Bye Melody." Matt said in a low voice giving Melody a somewhat sexual hug, noticing that he grabbed her by the waist and whispering something in her ear that made her blush really hard.

"Bye Amelia, I had a fun time and who knows, we might even see each other again." Oli said while giving me a sweet smile. We hugged but it wasn't like Matt and Melody's. Then I said bye to Matt and Melody said bye to Oli. We left, both with different thoughts on our minds.

Maybe if we stayed longer, Oli would've told me what happened in his past. I don't understand why I'm so eager to know so much about him, but whatever it is, it's driving me towards him, not away.
