The "Best" Friends - Season 4

Chapter 3 - Halloween

It was Halloween, and Pearl was in her bedroom, annoyed that she had to be nice to her younger sister, as it was also her birthday.

Pearl was wearing her Chitoge Kirisaki costume she said she'd wear. She had made the shirt herself (well.. with a little help from Emilia), and bought the skirt at Comic Con. She wore black socks which she had for school, and she also wore her school shoes. Although she didn't wear uniform, she liked to look smart. Her hair was tied up in a half-ponytail by a small, red bow which represented Chitoge's signature ribbon. Pearl refused to wear her glasses, even though she couldn't see a thing without them, as Chitoge didn't wear any.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Pearl couldn't answer it, as she couldn't see, so she called on Carly to do it, instead.

"Your favourite people have arrived!" Cried Tea Party as Carly opened the door.

Tea Party, Jimmy, Emilia, TicToc, and Briar were all who showed up.

Tea Party went as Lotte from Little Witch Academia (Carly was Akko), and she wore the uniform that the characters wore, and a witch hat. Beneath the witch hat, she had her hair in a very high ponytail, leaving it to fall around her face, making it look as though she'd cut it. She also wore huge glasses, the size of a large tennis ball. Jimmy was dressed the same way as he'd been the year before - as himself. Emilia wasn't dressed up either, nor was Briar. TicToc, however, was dressed as a murderer. She looked mostly normal though, except she wore her old, black cloak, and held a knife in her right hand.

They all walked into the living room together.
"Sis? What're you doing here?" Emilia asked, as she saw that Rosalina was already in the living room, beside H, on the couch.
"I stayed here overnight.. where were you?" She replied.
"Oh.. uh.." Emilia's face went slightly pink, but she couldn't figure out why, "I.. uh.. stayed at Jimmy's.."
Rosalina smiled, so did H and Carly. They did the most, but almost everyone else smiled at least a little bit.

Those who had just entered (other than Emilia) ran over to KC, hugged her, and wished her a happy birthday. She thanked them all with her innocent little smile.

The next minute, Pearl came wandering in, her arms stretched out, and her eyes squinting. Clearly, she was trying to see. Tea Party ran over to her friend, and hugged her too. Pearl, however, got a huge fright. She had no clue that Tea Party was even there.

"Ugh, Tea Party! I can't see a thing! Don't do this to me!" She cried.
"Okay, sorry," replied Tea Party, smiling, "You can borrow these glasses if you like! I don't need them, anyways. Well, other than for my costume, of course."
"Oh, thanks! You're such a good friend," Pearl ended, placing the glasses above her nose. Since they weren't hers, she still couldn't see very well, but her sight had definitely improved.

TicToc looked around, and it seemed that no one had wanted to dress up. H, Jimmy, Emilia, Rosalina, Bob, Gidget, Bella, Briar, Granny Bloodgood, and Mr. Donkey all seemed to have skipped Halloween that year. Carly, KC, Tea Party, and herself, however, were all looking.. well.. Halloween-y.. (KC was dressed as a fairytale princess).

After a few hours of watching Tim Burton movies, those who were dressed up all went Trick-or-Treating.

They all got back with heaps of candy. All of the houses they had ventured to had a lot, since no one was really going out that year. At least the girls had a benefit - eating as much candy as their heart desired. Also, KC and TicToc got to try candy corn for the first time.

By the way, I have never tried candy corn.. I think it's just an American thing, but I don't live in America. I have no clue where you get it. 😂
